Reviving the 17th-century English tradition of painting on enamel, this miniature teapot has a reproduction of Mary Cassatt's Afternoon Tea Party drypoint and aquatint print 1890-1891. Mary Cassatt (American, 1845-1926) was friendly with the French Impressionist and is often associated with their style, but with a more domestic them as she often painted scenes of women around the household. For the past few years, these hightly collectible teapots have captured the hearts of collectors for their adorable hand painted and glazed details. They are signed as part of the Kelvin Chen collection of mini teapots. They pay tribute to masterpiece artists from the 19th and 20th century.
