I was hoping to buy a bunch of white ceramic houses for Christmas decoration but the sets were so expensive! I bought these to make one myself.Most of them were great. There were a couple that had some splintered edges, not bad though. And they were easy to sand if the edge was rough.I know it's probably a style choice, but I would have preferred the wood to all be uniform in color but the edges and joints are darker from the "burn" on the edges. I ended up just painting over it but because I wanted them to be white, I had to cover the darker bits with plater first. Just a heads up in case you were hoping to do the same.Oh-and two of the house were missing a couple of the pieces. It wasn't that bad though because it was the bottom piece of the house and you can't really notice.Overall, I liked these and would buy them again.They would be cute to fill with led candles or decorate as gingerbread houses.

I was really excited for this because of an upcoming Friendsgiving, but it came with all the pieces thrown in a box (not individually wrapped at all) with zero instructions. Now I have to spend extra time figuring out if I have all the pieces I paid for. <thumbs down >

I spray painted them with day glow colors and inserted multicolor Xmas lights. I had to make a little hole on the back to do that though. A couple small pieces were missing but overall I got the effect I wanted.
