Avalon Organics Unscented Aloe Moisturizing Cream Shave, 8 oz.

I have been using avalon organics products since 2016 when I found out I had psoriasis and absolutely every other product I used was causing a reaction or making it even worse than it already was. The lotion and body wash have been life savers for me, so I decided to try out the shaving cream. This is not an "a little goes a long way" product, you have to use a generous amount to get the intended result, but it's worth it. I don't understand the reviews stating that it smells bad, it does have a distinct smell but I love it. This is the only shaving cream I've ever used that doesn't cause any type of rash, and there have been NO bumps which is a huge plus for me.

This product is my favorite shaving cream. Almost entirely organic. Thick, easy-to-use, protects skin from nicks. And the new packaging is nice.No nasty fragrance chemicals. Unscented. Perfect. I get this via Subscribe & Save, so I was not happy when after receiving the product in its new packaging for many months now, I was sent one in the old packaging today. Why are you sending me OLD product? Not happy about that. If it happens again, I'll regretfully cancel my subscription.

I really like this cream shave. I feel like it gets my legs very nice and smooth and I love that the ingredients are much safer and healthier than a lot of other shaving creams out there. However, I have to use A TON of this stuff to shave, and it rinses off so easily with water that it often gets accidentally washed off and I have to reapply and use even more. But, I've noticed less ingrown hairs and shave irritation since using this product, and I will buy it again!

I bought this for my husband and he really prefers it over several others he’s tried. It’s quite emollient and thick enough to offer a comfortable shave. We love that it’s free of synthetic dyes and unscented since as a couple we find many scented products to be truly unpleasant. Also it doesn’t clog the Gillette Mach 5 razor rinsing off easily. I’ve bought him Dr. Bronner’s shave soap in the past which was absolutely terrible and gave him painful red bumps on his head and face! He’s also used eos which is good but contains toxic ingredients including yellow #5! So he’s going to use this for awhile until it runs out and then I want him to try the Taconic shave cream in the urban woods scent. He also preps by rubbing his face and head stubble with high-quality olive oil, letting it set for several minutes prior to shaving to achieve a much better shave. Some men and women find they don’t even need to apply shaving cream by doing so. I don’t have sensitive shaving skin so I simply use my friend, Bj’s, natural handmade, unscented, goat milk soap to shave all my parts. Her soap is a real treat.

Touted to be fragrance free. Admittedly, true and correct. It might just be I'm a sissy, but about 5 minutes after application I'd swear that this had capsicum in it (Hope I spelled that correctly) and it started to burn like all Hades! I can't use products with menthol and hoped this would be an acceptable alternative. Weird reaction and hopefully it was just me. I don't like bashing any product but I was quite suprised.

Amazing stuff, getting harder to find at the store and move expensive online through Amazon. I hope they do not stop making it.I break out terribly after shaving, to the point I almost never shave and normally just use an electric trimmer. This does not prevent 100% of breakout and rashes from shaving but reduces it more than anything I have ever tried.It is unscented but it smells nice naturally from the ingredients in it. My son asks for some that he rubs all over himself whenever he see's me using it. He tends to hate soap, but likes stuff from the brands Jasons and Avalon Organics. I have to keep it well out of his reach or he would use the entire tube of it in his bathtime. It does seem to work for him as a bodywash.

I love Avalon Organics, and have used so many of their products. Loved them all.... until this one. It is so horrifically bad, that it inspired me to write a review, something I rarely do, because really, who has time for that? This product provides almost zero protection from your razor. Furthermore, if you apply it to wet skin, it just dissolves into almost nothing, so you lose the value from it. You therefore have to apply it to fairly dry skin to get almost any benefit from it, but the word benefit is far too generous. It's abysmal. All the antonyms of "benefit" should be applied here. Here are some alternative shaving products that I suspect would be better: Soap, hairspray, toothpaste, soup, prune juice, coffee, ear wax, sand paper, bug spray, laundry detergent, hemorrhoid cream, toothpicks, slime, air, shoe polish, TV remotes, caterpillars, smoothies..... you get it; everything! (side note: don't try any of these alternatives without consulting with your doctor, or certified shave expert)I still love you Avalon Organics, but come on, get your act together, or we're breaking up. Forever. I keep the dog.

I'm a first time user. I've used it now for a few weeks, and I like it. It is different than conventional shave cream --- it comes out like toothpaste does --- you squeeze a short bead of it on your fingers -- and then rub thoroughly on face. It is clear( not white) after is is applied to face. I find myself spending a little more time making sure the cream is applied on all areas to be shaved, and that it is "rubbed in" well on the whiskers. My shave seems much better with the same razors I have always used. I wonder if the few extra moments of "rubbing in" that I spend compared with what time I spend on conventional shave cream is part of the reason. I plan to buy again after this tube is finished.

It's great for the use I give it, which is to fill a smaller silicon tube and use it as travel shaving cream. It's not foamy but it is not intended to be. I would give it 5 stars if it came in eco packing. For home I use a different shaving cream. I do love that it is organic and unscented.

Feels good on the skin, is completely non-irritating and gives a super-smooth shave. It's the best I've ever tried.

Tengo barba cerrada y me afeito diariamente, el producto no me brinda la lubricación necesaria (aún utilizando navajas nuevas). En comparación con otros productos utilizados tengo que hacer uso de una cantidad mayor para lograr, apenas, la lubricación ideal. Aroma muy bajo (que a mi me gusta así), consistencia espesa, no es gel. En cuanto a cantidad de producto y precio es bueno, pero si consideras que debes utilizar más en cada aplicación quizá resulte igual a la larga.
