This machine has been a wonderul addition to our household. We were initially worried about our cats taking to it and they have so easily! I think they like it more than we do because the poo is always taken care of! Main Points to think about. 1. Daily care is so easy to do with the light indicator saying to empty it. The bags are easy to put in and stay secure from install to empty. I wish they would close a bit better when emptying, but hey, I no longer have to scoop poo! Compromise! 2. I don't find this machine loud at all by any means! It's a lot quieter than the arguing over who's turn it is to clean out the cat box lol! In fact, I never hear it. 3.We have any where from 2-6 cats in the house at any given time (we live in the country) and we never have had an issue as long as we take care to make sure the bag is replaced when needed. We usually look at night to double check before bed. 4. Make sure you use the correct litter as it really does make a difference. So far we have found that Arm and Hammer Slide has been exceptionally effective. 5. I believe they recommend a deep cleaning every two weeks, however I think it's fair to say you can push that if you are consistently emptying the bag. We have had this since December and we've done our first deep cleaning in March. This brings me to the deep cleaning. It was not as painful as we were concerned about. In fact we felt it was the easiest deep clean of a Litter box we have ever done. I think it took maybe 30 minutes. To be fair, it was really gross as we had to use clay litter (WHICH DOES NOT WORK) so there was a parking jam of poo! The empty feature was amazing!!! So after it was emptied the cleaning was really simple. 6. Totally get the step! If you have cats that make a litter path as they come and go, this will put their fun in place! Sorry kitties :) 7. I can't express how much we love this machine and what it has done for our lives which are busy. It has allowed us to enjoy our kitties so much more. Weirdly, we didn't realize how much the struggles of changing cat litter negatively affected our joy of kitties. 8. The odor impact. There may be a slight odor but nothing compared to the odor of traditional litter boxes. No longer is there the need to keep a ready supply of air freshener after you kitty with stinky poo uses the loo! 9, My mom thinks that I have said enough about this machine, but one more thing. If you have an elderly parent-especially as ancient as mine, this is the perfect thing for your parent to have and maintain their relationship with their kitty. It is easy to use from ages 4-99. I would say maybe younger, but toddlers tend to put anything in their mouths! Parent discretion is advised. 10- Happy kitty, happy life :)

I had a Litter-Robot 3 few weeks ago and it was a total failure. You can't fill it with heavy litter, you cannot place a mat underneath, the sensor fails every other day and you have to manually reset it, etc. So I returned it after 2 weeks of use. I almost lost confidence with automatic litter boxes. This Catlink litter box looks almost the same with Litter-robot 3, and they work in exactly the same way. However, Catlink does not have those problems I mentioned above, and it works really well after a month. Pros: 1. It looks good, solid built 2. No sensor problems, not strict litter requirements, works fine with all types of litter 3. Large waste box, enough for 5-day use for 1 cat or 3-day use for 2 cats. 4. Quiet. You can hardly hear the noise when it's cleaning. (Litter-robot 3 was like a tractor, you can hear it 100 feet away) 5. Slightly cheaper than competing products Cons: 1. Small cabin space, not ideal for large cats (my cat weigh 13lb and it's a bit difficult for him to turn around in the cabin. He had not problem with the globe cabin of Litter-robot 3) 2. Moderate odor control. Better than Litter-robot 3, but you can still smell it, not ideal for small apartments 3. Build quality can be improved. Litter stuck in the gaps when emptying the cabin, makes it hard to maintain. 4. Entrance is too high, you need to spend another $99 for a ramp. It does not make sense. It's a good product overall. I'll update my review in few months.
