I bought this for my wife as the smaller Santoku knife we have has a handle that is a bit too large for her and the handle started to fall apart with dishwasher use (I know it's a no no but try telling that to my wife ;-) Any way, this knife is sharp, I mean really sharp. The handle is more rounded than I thought but she loves it so that is all that matters (You know the 'Happy wife' saying). Great smaller sized Santoku and cuts through just about anything it's meant to and more. And the blade looks great!

This is a very good knife for the price. Is it the best knife outthere,no ,but it's pretty d*m close for the money. It comes razor sharp,almost,it can be made that way with the smallest amount of work. I'm very pleased with this blade,would buy it again and would not hesitate telling a friend to do the same.

I was very surprised when I received this knife by how sharp it is. Tried cutting an orange and then some potatoes and it cut through them without any resistance whatsoever. After several weeks of use and hand washing, I haven't noticed any drop in its sharpness and cutting ability. I really like the decorative style of the end of the tang on the handle. Only thing I don't like about it is that it's very light and doesn't have much weight to the handle as traditional Western Knives do. Pros: - Extremely Sharp - Stays sharp for awhile as long as you properly care for the knife - Beautiful knife and Tang design on the handle Cons: - (Not really a con, just depends on personal preference): Very light handle unlike traditional Western Knives with weighted handles.

Very sharp works very good

I feel like this knife was made just for me. It fits perfectly in my hand and it’s so light and easy to maneuver. I think this might be my new favorite knife. In fact, out of all the ones I own, including my Wusthof and Henkels, I like this one best for everyday cutting.

This knife is beautiful but I’m surprised that the handle feels hollow and more lightweight than the blade….which means I have to be very careful not to drop it because it will land “blade first”. Not only will it ruin the blade but it could land on a toe or pet.

I bought this to replace an old santoku I've been using for almost sixteen years, so I'm probably a little biased toward that one. This has a slimmer blade geometry (not as good for transferring chopped items), is much lighter in the hand, and the handle is a bit shorter. I really like it though, and after trying more conventional, larger knives, this is by far my ideal size for general kitchen use. Very sharp, easy to maintain stainless, and much better looking than my old santoku.
