You measure them around their belly. There is a size chart somewhere in the ad. The first time I bought just one package to make sure they fit, then since they did I bought the case, These are our favorite. I love the yellow stripe that turns blue when they wet. I have a pom and small is what I use most of the time. I did order medium and they work well for overnight. You just got to wrap them properly. Depends on waist size tho. Its a good product for the price.
