I’ve ordered these twice before. Magnets are no longer coated in silicone. The steel outside is just powder coated. They will scratch unlike the “old” ones with the soft silicone coating. The magnets are very strong and attach to my American flag by placing one on each side in pairs. My flag used to wrap around the flag pole, now doesn’t. Great product, it just changed?

These are fantastic. Mine came with a white rubbery type of coating on them. They’re very strong magnets and heavy enough to keep or train drapes or curtains to stay down.

The magnets are coated and can easily be "slid" apart. They're substantial in weight and hold together well. Be sure to the connect the correct positive & negative sides to each other. I applied all 3 sets to the bottom edge of a polyester flag on a fairly windy day. For future reference, the flag pole is above my garage door.About 20 minutes later I opened my garage door, drove slowly to exit the garage I heard a "snap" but continued driving. When I returned home a short time later, I noticed there was only one set of magnets remaining on the flag. I parked inside the garage, walked around the driveway looking for 4 white rectangles and only found three. It suddenly dawned on me that the "snap" I heard earlier is most likely the magnet jumping onto the bottom of my car as I drove above it. I wonder if I'll be picking up every nail and metal shard from the roads as I travel until I have a trail of cans dragging behind me. Hopefully it didn't connect to anything harmful - I needed an oil change anyway so I'll ask the mechanic to look for it.The point is - they work well but....if the flag is slippery and the wind is gusting it may not work as you hoped. That one set of magnets is still on the bottom corner of the flag. I added the other set above the 1st set (after they flew off from the other corner a second time) and when the wind blew - to be fair, it was pretty windy - the flag wrapped around the flag pole until there was no more flag to wrap.The magnets work - it's all about the physics.

I purchased four pair of these magnets to help weigh down an outdoor patio curtain and prevent wind from blowing it into the patio and knocking items off the table. The magnets are extremely strong but not really heavy enough to weigh the curtain down enough to help even in very light wind. These are outdoor water resistant curtains made of a very thick and durable material, and the magnets ripped through them after a couple of weeks. It seems to do less damage if you place them several inches away from the nearest fabric seam, but I discovered that too late. These have done more damage than help and I can only imagine how quickly they’d tear through a shower curtain.

This is a life saver.I recently moved into an apartment and happily purchased a high pressure showerhead as well as fabric curtain. This... was not a good idea. Every time I turned the shower on, the poor curtain would be caught up in a tornado and blow in all directions at once (I didn't even know that was possible!).I came across these and thought - why the heck not?I think this may be the best purchase I have ever made. I got two packs of 8 which I used in my two bathrooms. It works wonderfully and I can have a peaceful shower now.I did purchase another pack because my curtain seems a tad abnormally long.Also, I think someone else mentioned this but those pictures that the seller put up absolutely DO NOT do it justice. They look sort of gross in the picture but they actually look like thick, rectangular chiclets and feel soft/rubbery on the outside. The magnets are strong as well. Would highly recommend these. :)

I really like that these are the same color as our outdoor curtains! They keep our curtains together and stop them from blowing in the wind. I suggest getting the 24 pack because then you get 12 magnets. If you get the 12 pack then you really only get 6 magnets.

The coating comes off pretty quickly at the corners and the metal underneath starts rusting. Had to get rid of them after about six months.

I struggled with how to write this review. The product itself is excellent. Well made, super strong magnets just as you'd want for mounting them with cloth between and nicely finished. However the seller really needs to clean up some things in the listing. If that weren't the case, I'd have given them 5 stars.(1) The photo of the product is misleading. It oddly makes the product look worse. It appears to be a photo of a crude 3-D printed prototype. The real covers are steel with a nice enamel finish.(2) The are sold as 6 packs, 8 packs, 12 packs, etc. This is misleading. These only work as sets made up of 2 pieces. An accurate listing would be 3 units, 4 units, 6 units, etc.(3) The "carrying case" bit should be removed. It is just ordinary thin cardboard packaging with some foam inside to keep the pieces apart. It's a huge stretch to call it a carrying case.(4) Each set is made up of, as the instructions put it, positive and negative magnets. The packaging does not indicate which is which. If you get the wrong mix, the set won't line up when installed, but the pieces will jump off to the side. You can figure it out by trying different pieces to see which two line up with each other, but it would have been nice to just mark them in some way.

The magnets have a good weight to them and will hold the shower curtain down. They have a strong bond so there is no worry about them falling apart. Each magnet is encased in a hard plastic case and is easily cleaned.Definitely a well constructed and worthwhile product.

These are a simple solution to a common problem with shower curtains that aren’t weighted, they blow in when there is a temperature differential in your bathroom and your shower cabinet. They work great and are easy to install.
