If you seek to grow Closer to GOD, READ THIS BOOK
I absolutely loved this book. This is a beautifully written and providential read that is vital for EVERY LEADER OF FAITH and anyone wanting to grow closer to God! Christine makes us laugh and cry as she shares stories of her Greek roots while baring her heart and soul, and in doing so, takes each of us on an adventure into more honest places within ourselves and the current climate of our culture. Christine becomes our Navy Seal Sergeant giving us the stamina and Passion and Word of God to face the tough terrain of our own hearts and this present moment in our world, that is always drifting in different directions. This word is so timely, so rich and deeply encouraging. Why? Because we ALL DRIFT! And what is most terrifying, is when we don't know it!Her words awaken us and serve as a scalpel of grace, helping us to see with greater clarity. Training us how to identify where we might not be anchored, and the how to’s that lead us back to truly being anchored in Jesus. I'm so grateful for the questions she asks, and the parts of me that were exposed to drifting as I read. Because healing is on the other side of knowing the reality of where we stand. Amen. This book and the questions in it will serve as an anchor in my future to constantly refer back to, to check my Markers. We have so much in our world and on social media pulling our hearts in crazy directions, and we need bold and brave faith leaders like Christine being this honest and transparent with their own hearts, to call us higher as a people of Faith and give us the tactical tools to navigate greater elevation in Jesus.

It’s Absolutely Inspiring but it will Challenge you.
The Christian walk is a very difficult journey but it has never been an impossible one. In this book, I’ve discovered that drifting away from God is the easiest thing to do and that’s because it requires absolutely no effort from us. It has challenged me to stay on course no matter how I feel or what’s happening around me. It has reminded me that I need to stay focused and remember that God is in control. I needed to realise that it is absolutely okay to rustle with the things I don’t understand. As I read through this book, I realised that for a long time during my walk with Jesus, I had drifted. I drifted for years and one day, I woke up and didn’t recognise myself or where I was anymore. I had complained silently for so long, that I began to see the world through a pessimistic perspective and it made me bitter, very bitter. If there is one thing I love about God is how He has a way of getting our attention in ways we don’t even recognise. Sometime last year, I started listening to Christine Caine’s podcast. From the first time she mentioned this book, I knew that Lord was calling me to make the purchase. So a few days after it launched, I did. It took me a while to finish because I needed to do a lot of introspection after every chapter.I think this book is one every Christian, no matter where you are in your walk with Jesus, should read. Maybe like me, you too will discover that you have also drifted.

Encouraging
First book I’ve read from Christine, though I have heard her speak several times. It took me a minute to get into it but I’m so glad I stuck with it. She is always encouraging, and she makes many good points about our purpose on earth. We are here for a purpose: to glorify Jesus. And that takes perseverance.

If you feel like you have drifted off course, this book might be for you.
Writing for the kingdom isn't an easy task and requires, courage, time and commitment. Christine opens her heart and gives a raw account of her stormy experiences. She had drifted off course and found herself in a dark place. At the peak of her trials, she had to admit that she wanted to ring the quitters bell and walk away from her calling. The temptation was great. Who wouldn't want to spend their days tucked up in a little corner at Santorini? Her work is a testimony of the faithfulness of God, and the unfailing power of His indwelling Spirit, His refusal to quit, and the strength of His perpetual persistence. In Christ we have all we need to finish and ring the bell of victory. The fight is won, the victory is ours, and in Him we can walk it out. Keep your eyes on Jesus and feast on His word daily.Thank you for reminding us all to get up and fight to hold fast of the gifts that Jesus won for us, to March on and fight the good fight of faith. likeable but too long for me
I enjoy Christine a very likable person. But my reading habit need shorter chapters to get through. Meaningful book but towards the end I just skimmed through it.

A massive reset!
Do you hate to wait? Do you struggle to dream? Are you discouraged despite your hard work? Do you strain to trust God with his plan? Are you drifting from your faith? I do or have, and probably will. I've been working on a project the Lord put in my mind for many years. The promise in my heart is burning to come to life, but I'm still in the waiting. So many obstacles, challenges, and life crises have derailed the progress, or so I think. But, God continues to remind me that His timing is perfect. The dream will come true when He has ordained it to happen. Christine's heart and wisdom in writing this book help me set my mind to trust the Lord with greater abandon, to see the ways I will drift from my faith and course-correct when needed. She encourages us to live expectantly for the future and also presently joyfully as we wait. That is a game-changer mindset! Nothing can stop us, nothing can shake us when we live our faith with such confidence. Read this book and share it with others. It will be a blessing! It has blessed me.

New kind of vulnerable
Christine hits a new kind of vulnerable alongside her familiar wit and compelling delivery for truth that sinks into the inner chambers of her heart. The title threw me a little, and I had an idea that maybe this book wouldn’t really be for me. It was truly the opposite in that while I think I’m doing alright, I may very well be walking the edge of drifting more than I acknowledge. I literally had moments of tears and by the final chapter found myself covered in goosebumps filled with triumph and more importantly hope.I cannot recommend this book enough!!!

I loved this book
This is such a “now book” for our times. I hear again and again, people saying they have been feeling disconnected since restart of the pandemic and all the lockdowns and social distancing. In her book “How did I get here” Christine Caine writes about how we can unexpectedly find ourselves adrift from God. It can happen to any one of us, if we don’t “pay attention.”I found something to identify with in every chapter and the book encouraged and uplifted me. In her usual way, the book is jam-packed with scripture in every page, too. I would recommend this book for both men or women - you will be encouraged!
