CHARAKU, Japanese Handheld Electric Matcha Whisk/Frother with Bamboo Chasen Made in Japan

I am a serious matcha addict and have many accessories to aid in my daily habit! This has to be one of my favorites, as the electric whisk helps create super creamy/foamy and satisfying matcha. With this whisk, there is no need to add plant (or cow) milk since the matcha is so decadent as-is after using the whisk (the mouth-feel heavy and rich). Pro-tip is you should consider using high-quality matcha (ceremonial grade) to ensure you have a satisfying cup of matcha (I order these from brands based in Kyoto). Only downside about this whisk is the lack of AC adaptor. The whisk is great when the batteries are fresh, it still works when the batteries have less power but the matcha won't be as creamy. I bought rechargeable batteries to solve this so I can constantly have a powerful whisk.

I purchased this and one other Bambooworx Amazon electric bamboo whisk tool. While the Bambooworx accepts moderate size whisks and with some adjustment also smaller ones, this Charaku solely caters to very narrow whisks, making it useless for the many bamboo whisks that come in a great variety of sizes. I did not use it but merely opened the box and seeing the narrow tool holder space, abruptly returned it. If you wish to use this you are stuck with purchasing solely from Charaku or seeking out very narrow whisks handles. I do like the Bambooworx which works well. I love hand whisking but could not resist adding something new to my collection.

So I was using 3-4 times the matcha powder I was suppose to use when I was hand whisking matcha powder with hot water, because I just couldn't get much flavor out of my matcha. It took so much effort and time to get the matcha to even foam just a little with hand whisking. This electric whisk is the solution I've been looking for, because I am addicted to matcha but I just can't do the hand whisking to make it work for me. Now I'm finally using the proper amount of matcha powder for my latte, and the whisk that comes with the device works just fine. Loving it.

Ive purchased several bamboo whisks none of which are narrow enough to fit. This product is too expensive to not be of any use once you need a new whisk.

a game changer. on the expensive side but if you are a matcha fan then this is a MUST. The other reviewer might have gotten a defective one which is unfortunate. The only slight imperfection is the little cover for the the battery slide off easily but I really don’t mind because this gem makes the frothiest most amazing matchas. Highly recommend.

Great to easily do my match, battery life is good, I know is plastic but it is very well made. I love using this thing every day
