Atomic clock with a backlight that you can see clearly in the dark!
The clock is simple to set up, the numbers are large and easy to read from distances, the moon phase feature is interesting and I really like knowing the outside temp as well. The only thing I'd like seeing added is an outdoor humidity percentage. I particularly like having the backlight on the clock. Not only does it make it easy to read from any position in your room - the backlight makes a great night light in the dark, too. I'm very happy and pleased with this clock!

Detailed analysis
This clock is not perfect, but I really like it; if partial stars were possible, I would give it 3.8.It is very good at picking up the radio signal to set the time to the nearest second. It appears to reset every day, or every night. Our master bedroom is on the east side of the house, which is away from the atomic clock facility in Colorado. We live in Ohio.At age 79, I can still read all the important information without my glasses when I am lying in bed with my head about 10 feet from the clock. That includes the time, day of the week, month and day, indoor and outdoor temperatures, and moon phase. The small text I cannot read from that distance includes AM/PM, EST, MOON PHASE, INDOOR, OUTDOOR, °F, a small bar graph of temperature trend, and the word TREND. It is easy to read from any angle, unlike some LCD screens.I did a detailed analysis of temperature accuracy, comparing the outdoor temperature to 2 other outdoor sensors and to hourly temperatures posted by weather.com and the indoor temperatures with those of 4 other clocks/thermometers, placed side-by-side on a flat surface (I can’t help myself; I’m a nerd and a retired statistician). The results were: (1) the indoor temperature is consistently a bit low, with a mean discrepancy of about 0.8°F, (2) the outdoor temperature is typically about 1°F too high. I’m satisfied with that. There are 3 brightness levels. The middle level is perfect for my purposes; I can read the clock both day and night, and it does not light up the room the way the highest brightness does.

Good Size
I can easily read the time from across the room. However, it must be plugged in for the backlight to work. (It's the only reason I didn't do five stars) The outdoor temp remote works great for me.

Only kind of works...
The media could not be loaded. To be completely honest, if I had opened this and set it up within the 30 day return window - this would be going back.Plugged it in and tried to follow the directions, but none of the buttons worked. Had to unplug it and plug it back in 3x to finally get them to work. Finally got it to sync to the Atomic Clock... but then the outdoor sensor wouldn't sync - even though it was right next to it. Unplugged it and plugged it back in a few times and that finally synced. But now it does this background light flash (see video) that we have no control over. And it is no longer synced fully to the Atomic Clock - only the time is accurate, but not the date or moon phase anymore. I've tried the recommended troubleshooting and nothing works. And I'm tired of unplugging and plugging back in this Clock to try to make it work.I really cannot recommend this product to anyone based on my experience.

I love it
Easy to see from across the room. Checks time with WWV so the time is always accurate.

Easy to set up!
This is what I have been looking for at a great price! Easy to set up and love that it has a back light that is easy to dim. We had storms and lost electricity for a short time and the battery back up worked great 👍 the day light savings time work perfectly that is an awesome feature! Finally a clock that does it all and works perfect! Great value for your money!

OK. Could be better -- sensor eats batteries
3-1/2 stars; but I give them the benefit of the doubt.I got this to replace a LaCrosse technologies atomic clock that the temperature sensor had failed on, and couldn't be replaced. It's a serviceable replacement, although a few small changed would make it a vastly more useful item.PROS:* Set up was realtively simple* Found the radio signal (WWV) easily, and set to the correct time* After running for a month, time seems to be consistently accurate* Temperature sensors both worked, out of the box.* Large, easy to read face -- I can read it from across the room easily* In battery mode, a quick tap on the top turns on the dial-light for a few seconds -- east to read in dim lightCONS:* This clock has a lot of features accessible from the control buttons, but THEY PUT THE BUTTONS ON THE BACK. Who designs a WALL CLOCK that you have to take off the wall to access features?* NO "seconds" display. This is odd in an "atomic" clock. I like to use them to set other, non-atomic and mechanical clocks, but without a seconds display, you're always guessing at the precise time. Why not at least make it option to display seconds?* No way to calibrate the temperature displays. I ran the outdoor sensor right next to the clock for a full day, and it consistently read a degree higher than the indoor sensor in the clock -- no way to adjust. Finally, not a "con" but it would be nice to have it possible to turn on the dial-light briefly with a remote. As it is, you have to actually go up to the clock and touch it to do this.Bottom line: If all you want a good accurate clock that is easy to read from a distance, this is a good choice, provided you don't really care about accessing (or the accuracy of) other features like seconds, temperature, trend, etc.ETA: After running this for a few months I came back and docked it a star. The remote temperature sensor eats batteries. Batteries in this unit have to be replaced every 7-10 days. Maybe I just got a defective one, but a clock that cost $20/month in batteries to run isn't really useful.

It’s fantastic
I love this clock so much! The temperature gage and moon cycle are such bonuses. I love a full moon but am not always out on nights we have them. This way whenever I look at the time, I’m reminded of what the moon looks like. Also, the date being displayed is very helpful. I love that it can be bright enough and large enough to really read from across the room!
