These are great in the bright sun. Driving with them isn't so good. I need to remove them to see the display on my phone map because they are so dark. Seem to be good quality, esp. for the price. The hard case is nice, but a little on the large size because the lenses are so big. Hinge temples are a nice touch.

Because Wirecutter rated these as their 'best buy' choice for sunglasses, I already had high expectations, so I ordered two pairs, one with black lenses and another with gray lenses. They arrived today, with a blazingly bright clear sky --as challenging a test of sunglasses as I could want. Bottom line for both pairs: Great sun, UV and glare protection, completely natural colors outdoors, very comfortable to wear and sturdy-feeling.I've paid 3X as much in the past for less than 1/2 the quality of these. If they get lost or damaged I won't hesitate to order them again.

This pair of sunglasses does exactly what it's suppose to and a very good job at that. They look great, they're polarized and they feel like they are made with good quality material. However, there is a piece of gold paint on the nose holder which does reflect off onto the glasses, which makes it feel like there is a smidge on it. If you can get past that, this is a fantastic pair of glasses for the price you're paying.

Very dark lenses, Good for very bright sunlight, however, slightly lighter lenses would be more useful.

I have recently had cataract surgery. Things appear much brighter than before the surgery. I tried several different brands and color of lense. I found these on Amazon and decided to give them a try. They are made as good as prescription frames and lenses. The spring loaded arms are a great feature. I highly recommend the sun glasses.

I used to sail a lot and liked good polarizing sunglasses - they can make a huge difference. At first I thought these did not have polarizing (even though the item description clearly say "polarized"). After more testing I found some scenes would show detectable polarizing when testing by holding about 12-16" in from of face and rotating glasses so left/right becomes top/bottom and back (standard check for polarizing sunglasses). But the polarizing simply does not compare with the glasses I wore in the past. The glasses from '60s, '70s,'80s showed a huge difference in this test, looking at all scenes, but with these glasses it's barely discernible. IOW, polarizing isn't really "working" with these glasses. Also, the left vs right lenses don't behave the same in these tests. Although this is not grossly obvious, it's not good because it has strain your eyes to resolve, on the fly, something that is not right your view.I saw reference to the NYTimes site Wirecutter and I also bought based on their review of these glasses. However, this is not the first time I've found them to be careless and cursory in their evaluations (upper tier consumer wifi router with bad software); unfortunately, although it would be nice to trust in the pretty and glossy image they project, it appears that wading through Amazon reviews may be a far better source.These are cheap glasses and good for very casual use. But if you actually want/need real polarizing look elsewhere.

These were ok glasses, gave me a headache the first couple times I work them but eyes adjusted quickly. Lens popped out on one side when cleaning but snaps in easily.Ok for the price not for longevity.

Looks good, nice tint, but I'm really suspicious of this having any polarization... Everything still looks bright outside.
