This review is for the Turbro EF23-PB fireplace logs. This is a very good product and I believe a good value if you have realistic expectations. This is not going to look exactly like burning logs and it is not going to heat your home. I bought this for my living room fireplace. My living room is very large. I didn't buy this with the expectation that it would heat my living room, I just wanted it to provide some supplemental heat and that is what it does. My dogs sleep in front of the fireplace and they love the extra warmth. If you stare directly at it, it is not going to fool anyone but in the background it provides a very nice ambiance and gives you the impression that there is a fire going. And it does this at a very reasonable price. I am very happy with my purchase.When the logs arrived the remote didn't work. I contracted Turbro support. The responded the next day. The asked me to try a couple things and it still didn't work. They requested some additional information and said that they would ship a new remote but they they were on back order and it would take 1 to 2 weeks. Three weeks later the new remote was delivered (shipping took a week as it was coming from China). The new remote works fine. All responses from support were within a day and I was notified with shipping information. I would have preferred that everything work right out of the box but since it didn't I am very satisficed with the support I received.

I didn't like that it's so low to the ground. It's heats good. The lights look cool.

The media could not be loaded.  Our gas fireplace was old and tired. It did put out some heat but couldn’t see the flames. We didn’t heat with it anyway and just enjoy the ambiance of a fire. We purchased this electric insert. People think it’s a real fire and go stand by it and can’t figure out why it’s not putting out heat. It does have a small electric heater that puts out some heat but we don’t run it. We heat with natural gas furnace. We love this thing and run it everyday! You can see from video in broad daylight it is bright. You can also dim at night if too bright.

Is it the real thing? No bit looks great and there no worries of a real fire…

The media could not be loaded.  This device works quickly to heat a room. Temperature and power features are easily set with the remote controller. This electric fireplace log product was purchased to fill the place of a disconnected gas fireplace. It was more economical to operate this log set than run piping under our house where it had been removed. The backside is partially mirrored, enabling it to throw what looks like a flame. It’s overall look and ability to heat are appreciated. Definitely recommend for the price!

I’ve seen a lot of good and a lot of meh reviews on here so I didn’t really know what to expect from this. As for what I was expecting in GENERAL from a product like this was for it to at least make the area/small room feel warmer. However, even on the highest temp… I still have to sit kind of right in front of this thing to feel the heat from it. For Xmas we placed it inside our fireplace to give a nice little cozy glow. If not really paying attention, the fake fire looks/seems fine. But when you actually look at it, you can tell how fake it is and that it looks pretty tacky. I’m kind of bummed that I spent the amount of money I did on this. I personally don’t feel it’s really worth as much as they’re selling it for. But I’ll make it work for me. I’ll just use it as a foot warmer or something lol.

Pros: fun look with some ambiance, compact, good heat output, easy to use, nice safety, and well worth the price. Cons: wish the display and control were a little easier to verify the current setting.Overall, this little fireplace keeps my rooms warm through the winter. With time, they can warm a large room if needed. The construction and design seem very safe if placed unobstructed. I read some of these reviews on the "reality of a fireplace." This looks like a fun, stylish "fake" fireplace. Honestly, reminds me of a diorama at Disneyland. I love this fireplace.

We recently found out that the fireplace in the house we bought a year ago is not up to code, and would be quite expensive to fix. We don’t really have the money or time to make is a useable fireplace, or to put an electric/gas insert in at the moment. We decided to get one of these, and we were lucky enough to get one super cheap as we decided to go for a used one. It’s not the best quality of a fake fire out there, but it can’t be beat for the price we paid and it looks much nicer than the empty dark hole of a fireplace. It definitely makes the room feel so much cozier.

Overall great product. Not super realistic looking but it heats well and the fan is quiet. The sound doesn't interfere while the t.v. is on just above it. Good product for the money.
