Great idea, poor execution
These rollers are a great help for applying mud, but they do have a couple of major flaws.1- yes, the black plastic nap of the roller comes off and gets into your mud, so you end up having to pick them out and re-smooth it.2- the handles are not threaded inside so you can’t attach them to an extension pole, unless you buy an adapter.3- the corner roller- the metal bar from the roller to the handle is too close to the roller and LOTS of mud collects on that piece and plops onto the floor if you don’t keep a close eye on it

Doesn’t lay the mud down in corner good.
This product doesn’t pick up enough mud to fill corners. It looks like it would work great but it just doesn’t.

Falls apart fast
I've only used this thing to do corners around the ceiling of a 2 car garage and the little hairs keep coming out in my mud making it hard to get a smooth finish and the very first day of using it the nap is starting to fall off. I'm very OCD about taking care of my tools and cleaning them constantly cause my biggest pet piev is crumbs in my mud. Only reason I gave it 2 stars is because it is faster getting the mud into the corners but c'mon level 5, this is pretty sad considering you charge 30$ for this little thing. This is my first level 5 tool and I'm not impressed so far

Not Level 5 Quality.
Too much of the nap sheds and is very annoying. Not Level 5 quality which is usually excellent
