Q: what is the temperature range of this product

Off hand, I don't remember what the package stated, and I of course have thrown the package away. So I went and checked the thermometer. When I turned it on it showed a temperature of 70, which was close to what the room temp was and I know I had it upwards of 400 (over 370) cooking the other day. Hope this helps

Q: Can it set the temperature number i want? Or pre-programmed only?

How hard is it to make a programmable candy thermometer? Not as hard as it is to spell thermometer evidently as the listing says thermomter. I just wanted one I could set to 110F for making yogurt. To do this we must use one designed for roasting meats and they don’t work in reverse to indicate when milk cools down to 110F which is what is needed for making yogurt. Someone, please…. Make this happen!

Q: When using a deep pot with little mixture in the pot. The probe doesn't reach far enough into the pot. Can anyone tell me the length of the probe?

The probe is 8 1/4 inches long if using the clip to hang on your pot. There is additional 2 inches of probe that the clip cannot be slid up to. So if you can hold the thermometer in your hand and not use the clip the probe's total length is 10 1/4 inch long from tip to digital face plate.

Q: can it be set on celcius mode?

Can easily be set to either Fahrenheit or Celsius
