I'm not crazy about too many kitchen gadgets, especially if they have only a single function, but this is worth it. I love fresh garlic. I don't love chopping fresh garlic. I especially dislike buying something that turns out to be flimsy or cheap metal, but it's very sturdy and seems to be of extremely good quality.

Works great when you need minced or crushed fresh garlic. Easy to clean. The silicone sleeve does work, although I usually forget about it. Garlic isn't THAT hard to peel! LOL Plus if I'm using a bunch of cloves, I'll usually put them in any kind of container with a lid & shake them up until all the peels are off. Works like a charm. I use a small Pringles can. Great value for the money... (WAY BETTER than my old manual garlic press where most of it just got stuck. I threw that POS away!)

It does take some effort to get thru the garlic because of its strings but best job of the obes I have tried so far.

Awesome little garlic press. Solid and reliable. No holes in the handle for crud to get caught or fill up with water. No plastic to melt in the dishwasher or break off. Takes abuse and works well. I like it.

The one that i received has the larger holes and it is too difficult for me to push down and crush the garlic cloves. I like the green silicon peel remover. I was unable, even with two hands pushing down, to get the garlic to crush through the holes. The edges of the holes are smooth, not at all sharp, and if I could go back in time, I would tell myself NOT to waste money on this useless item. My husband and adult daughter could not make it work any better either. Save your money.

Mine broke after only a few uses. Spend a couple extra bucks to get a better quality one.
