Bought one some years ago. Worked very well for a long time before giving up the ghost. So bought this (almost identical) replacement. Doesn't work. Even if you are swirling whiskey in your mouth, gives you a zero reading. Binned it.

good to keep a check on what you are drinking either stay at home or outdoors know your limits

Don’t waste your money as this totally unreliable…after a very ‘merry’ night out with friends it showed a reading of zero alcohol less than one hour after my last drink. The only safe way is to not drink at all if considering driving within 24hrs

Easy to use & gives you a reading quite quickly. Don't know whether it's accurate but it's a good guide to let you know whether you should drive or not after drinking alcohol the night before.

I bought this in hopes of monitoring my ketones levels. Several Keto coaches indicated that cheap breathalyzers give enough false positives to keep track of levels of acetone in breath. They specifically said that only "cheap" breathalyzers have this effect due to the technology they use. I should have known that for those swanky youtubers "cheap" means "nothing over $1,000" 😀This device is apparently too cheap: on the first use after several "clearing" runs as recommended by the manual, it screamed "DANGER!" and claimed I have 0.16 BAC. The 5 subsequent uses (over 3 minutes apart, as instructed) yielded 0 BAC. Out of curiosity, I poured myself a double shot of Martell (80 proof cognac). Five minutes later, 0 BAC; Ten minutes, 0 BAC; Fifteen minutes, 1.6 BAC and "DANGER" again. Twenty minutes: 0 BAC. Without being a legal expert, I can tell you that if you use this "device" to check if you're fit to drive, you're looking at an almost certain DUI.

I bought this a few months ago. It worked at first but after a few months of not using it it won’t register I’m blowing more times than not. I warmed it up between 10-15 times and the same thing. It’s not registering I’m blowing at all more times than not. It’ll work about 1-2 times out of every 10 warm ups now. When it does work it’s seems semi accurate but it’ll show I’m at .07 after one half shot with orange juice in a 8 ounce cup and there is no way I could blow that high after one drink like that. Then I do a second drink of the same thing and it’ll be down at a .04 or .05 which makes no sense that i would blow higher on the first one than the second one. Even the next day it’ll say I blow a .03 and I’ve even done it 2 days since I had any alcohol and it reads the same .03 which there’s no way that’s possible. If only it wasn’t past the time to return it or exchange it I would be for a different one.

Probably not the breathalyzer you want to use before you drive. I do have some questions about the accuracy of this item. It seems to be pretty accurate but don't drive if you're not 100% sure, please! Nice size overall, fits right into a pocket
