Don’t be swayed by the 4.9 star reviews. The online images are misleading and the product is basically thin foam in plastic. The embossed design makes it very difficult to clean - partly my fault for ordering the beige version, which needs to be wiped frequently.I’m not given to writing negative reviews - usually accepting you get what you paid for. However, having paid £64.99 my expectations were high and my disappointment has turned to resentment. I’d still be disappointed if I’d paid a tenner, such is the cheap nature of this product.Why not return the mats? Fate!As I pulled the rolled-up mats from the polythene wrapping, my wife decided to check the curry. As she lifted the lid it gave an almighty burp and splattered the long mat. Needless to say the stain could not be removed!

A set of two waterproof mats which are slightly padded so are more comfortable for your feet than the usual thin ones. They do stay in place relatively well but will move if you push them slightly with your foot, and are well designed to fit with kitchen decor.My main complaints are that they are very pricey for what you get and that the surface is indented enough to be not so easy to clean, as dirt likes to bury in the corners of the pattern, and yet it is not very effective at offering a grip for shoes.A great idea to have padded mats on hard tiles and if they fit your kitchen in colour they could be worth considering.
