Casio Ladies Mid-Size Silver Tone Digital Retro Watch LA-680WA-7DF

Casio watches are classic for a reason. I have the smaller one (stainless w/ black face) and love the size of that on my wrist, but there is no light and no date. There's an empty space on one side for a light button, but maybe that would take away from the more "elegant" look they're going for in that smaller style. So, basically I wanted a more-everyday watch with all those aforementioned features (light, date), plus the display is obviously slightly larger which is nice for my aging eyes that won't wear glasses. Some reviewers said this was an absurdly small watch but, as you can see from my photo at least, it's large and in charge. I only wish the "lady" versions of these watches had the removable links like most of the versions marketed toward men. The "tail" on this is a little long and the links are really impossible to even snip off with heavy-duty construction tools without leaving a jagged edge that occasionally catches the skin (we tried on my other one), but they are super easy to adjust to your desired wrist size, and I often change the size on the fly depending on how I'm wanting to wear it that day. So, all in all, totally great watches, and there are so many different metal/face combinations, it's hard to narrow down which one to get (each one would work in a different way). My next and last one (until one of the batteries dies in 10-12 years) will be the smaller gold one to wear with nicer outfits.

The watch is very nice, I am a woman and I think it is the perfect size for the wrist of such an exquisite woman.

I love this watch and have been using it for 8 years. (I usually need to replace the battery/ get a new one every 2 years or so). I get so many compliments, and I love that it is so versatile and practical. It isn’t too in-your-face about being a digital watch.Pro tip if you have a small wrist like me- you can replace the band! The original band works fine, but the long tail can be annoying, my hair often gets caught, and sometimes it can be difficult to adjust. I just replaced mine with a 14mm butterfly clasp strap (the description of the watch says 12 mm but it’s actually 14mm!) and I couldn’t be happier.Casio, please never stop making this watch!!!

Just received today, and pleased with its appearance, the size, the fit and ease of use. The watch came with a very detailed booklet for setting and use. It’s pretty on my wrist, so I’m happy with my purchase so far. That said, it arrived in only a tiny bubble wrap envelope. No box, no protection of any kind. It made me question whether or not this was a “new” watch, as was advertised. It seems like it is, and is working properly, so I’ll give it the benefit of the doubt. I did deduct one star for this, because I’d have felt better if had a little more cushioning or protection of some kind.

Should have read the description more closely. I have had many Casio watches but after a battery replacement my old one finally lost the ability to be waterproof. Thought I was getting something similar but was a little surprised to discover that this one is made of plastic. The body and face are both plastic. Only the band is metal (and back cover). I don't expect it to last long. I like the overall size and look (especially the band), except that the watch just looks like cheap metallic plastic.... I kept it because I need something to tell me the time, but I am still looking for a new watch, as this isn't it.

I got this for her as a gift. She never wears jewelry so i was worried if she would wear it or not but she has not taken it off for over a year.She swears that it keeps perfect time, she loves it
