This is a great bar for a beginner and is a good value. It's solid and more stable compared to the first bar we tried. The longer base means no rocking when the gymnast swings, even with a 10 year old swinging on it. Another plus, the bar is the widest and tallest we could find on Amazon or in this price range. My daughter is 4'7" and she doesn't use the highest settings yet. The fiberglass bar is plenty strong and has a little more give than the metal bar on our first model which is important. It's more friendly on the body than metal but doesn't quite have the flex of an official sized bar due to length. For the price I don't think you can do better, at least that I was able to find. We use her inflatable gymnastics mat as padding underneath the bar and it provides a safe landing if she should fall. I'm happy wit the purchase and so is my daughter.

My 2 kids can play this gymnastics bar at the same time, due to high weight limit. We had the old kid gymnastics bar but it is small so each of them has to wait until their turn. But with this one, both can doing pull up, swing together at the same time. Another advantage is the heigh limit, it can truly go up to 71"" so we can do many activities with it, and we can keep it for many years to come.

We got this for my 10 year old daughter for her birthday. She has been wanting to be able to practice her gymnastics on the days she doesnt have class. She loves it! I was a little hesitant since she is use to the professional quality one at her gym. But for the price I am very impressed. She can do all her flips and trick without it hardly moving! We are very happy with this purchase so far. I would recommend getting a mat with it as well. as the cross bar underneath could bang up your toes. But other than that its a great product at a great value!

Very easy to anssemble and pretty self explanatory. Fine instructions but they weren’t really needed. Put it together in less than 20 minutes. The sturdiness and durability are solid. I do wish it were a bit heavier weight. It’s ok but as expected, it does slide a bit when really flipping around on it. Makes it hard for my daughter to fully execute some of her bar moves since it’s not completely stationary. But I don’t think any portable unit like this can have the amount of stability needed to compare to the full size units in gyms. So I’m accepting of this aspect. And I have no concerns with it causing any safety issues or anything. The ability to fold and store is great. Makes it a bit easier to fit into rooms that have other uses. Considering this unit raises far higher than other units we looked at, this item definitely has value for the money. The ability to raise it so much higher was the selling point for us. We’re very happy with it and I highly recommend.

My 10 year old loves this bar. We bought a mat for it as well - gyms likely use 2 in. mats but I would recommend a thicker (4 in.) , larger mat (not a yoga mat). It should not be soft (crash mat) because that will make it difficult to mount the bar. But you definitely need a mat there for the inevitable falls and rough landings. Always supervise children and spot them when necessary. Even a mat will not prevent all injuries. It took maybe half an hour to assemble. The knobs are a little stiff. Adjusting the height is easiest with two people as there are two knobs *on each side* to turn (although you could adjust one side at a time as well). You can set it very high, higher than other home bars I had seen. The bar definitely holds substantial weight - my husband and I both use it fine. But note that it will slide if you jump onto it forcefully. I recommend putting something under the legs to prevent sliding. It is supposed to be foldable but I have not used that feature, we leave it out and set up. Please note the bar is FIBERGLASS. It is supposed to have a wood veneer but there were little fiberglass shards coming off of the bar straight out of the box. I didn't see anything in the instructions on how to pre-treat the bar before use. I wiped with a damp cloth several times before my daughter used it as those shards can penetrate and stick into your palms. After wiping the bar down and vacuuming we haven't had any issues. Purchase chalk separately for your gymnast's hands! This is a sturdy home bar that's great for practicing gymnasts. It is *not* meant for very young children and can be used by adults if desired. I looked at many different bars and I am happy with my purchase.

The box was well organized and parts easy to identify and put together. This bar is far sturdier than others we have seen so for stability and safety I give it an A+. Video shows it did not wobble for my 65lb 9 year old. The extra length of the bottom bar is what sets this one apart from the competition.
