VERTAGEAR Racing Seat Gaming Chair, S-Line Medium SL4000 BIFMA Cert, Black/White

This is going to be a Review for the SL4000 as much as it will be for the SL2000.I purchased in November 2018 the SL2000 and recently it broke, 3-4 years before it broke. In its defense, I am 6ft tall and 320lb, it lasted pretty long and I have been working for almost 2 years from home. Meaning I spend almost 8 hours a day working on it and then another couple of hours playing video games on the same chair.When the SL2000 broke I bought the SL4000 expecting more of the same and it is but... somehow the base of the chair is more narrow making it a little uncomfortable. However, since the SL2000 is still under warranty I am trying to get the broken part addressed and pass the on SL4000 to my wife. It's not a bad chair, but if you are on the large side like I am, now you know the SL2000 might be more your speed.

I purchased this chair after my previous office chair couldn't handle the rigors of working from home. I sit for LONG periods of time - 12 to 16 hours a day - and needed a chair that was sturdy, comfortable, reasonably priced, and a design I liked. This chair fits those requirements in spades.> It's Comfortable> It's sturdy> It was reasonably priced> I like the designBUT.... (BUTT?)I was not prepared for the SWASS. Oh. My. God. The SWASS. After a long day at work, my pants often look like I've wet myself. The PU leather of this thing DOES NOT BREATHE. Beautiful chair that is very well cushioned, comfortable, and almost perfect size for my frame, height and weight (5”2-5”3; 140). I use it for my home office. I sit long hours each day in front of the computer typing. In this pandemic, the long hours of work at home caused my back and arms to hurt a lot and more and more each day. After receiving this chair, I do suffer from those pain any more. So I strongly recommend this chair for someone of my size or smaller. Even for me this chair works b/c it forces me to sit straight. But the seat is quite narrow so I can’t really put my feet up and cross them for a longer time. I guess that is better for posture? In any event, I recommend this chair for smaller, shorter, and/or thinner male and females. Good luck! Size counts for these chairs so do your homework.One more point, if you want the red-black one, it is cheaper on the Vertagear’s official website. To be honest I don’t know why there is a price difference for different colors. That is pretty lame in my opinion. :P

I looked on Vertagear's web page (because of conflicting reviews here) and I fall in the middle of the body type this chair is made for; I'm 5'8 and weigh 155lbs. The chair Is way too small for me and is very uncomfortable to sit in for more than 30 minutes. I tried it for not quite 2 weeks and had to stop using it because of back and bottom pain. The chair itself is extremely easy to assemble (took longer to unpack than assemble) it's solid as a rock and has quality that you'd expect to pay more than double the price for. I was so impressed with the chair's quality, I ordered the 5000 and it is perfect.

Overall this is a great chair, but it isn't designed for the average Caucasian adult male. The cushioned edges of the seat constantly press into the sides of my butt/legs. It's not so bad that I can't use it, but the constant discomfort makes even short sessions at my computer unpleasant. Now I am a little bigger than average (6'3" 210 lbs) but I don't have a particularly large backside, and I can't imagine this chair would be comfortable for anyone who isn't particularly slender.Also, one minor complaint, there was a defect in one of the screw holes that prevented me completing assembly, so I had to return the first chair and order another one.Update: I initially gave a 3-star rating, but it isn't really fair to knock off a star for the size of the seat -- I should have researched the dimensions on the manufacturer's website. The chair has held up very well; I would give 5 stars if I hadn't had to return the first chair.

As easy as this chair was to assemble, it is HORRIBLY UNCOMFORTABLE. The wings on the sides of the seat cushion must be designed for 12 yo gamers as a 200lb adult man has no chance sitting in one comfortably without these wings digging into your hips! It is a sturdy chair, but the metal supports under these wings, as depicted in the pictures on the chair's website are very rigid and unforgiving. If there was a specific hip size requirement, I never saw it.If you have normal sized hips and a 36" waist size or higher, you will be miserable in this chair!definitely NOT satisfied!

Confesso que quase cancelei minha compra, por conta dos reviews que encontrei aqui. Para piorar, não há muitos videos com depoimentos claros sob o produto, principalmente no Brasil.Quais foram minhas impressões?1) A cadeira é ótima, devia tê-la comprado antes. É ultra-ergonômica, permitindo ajuste de praticamente tudo.2) O Material é de altíssima qualidade, com costuras em nylon grosso. Realmente algo feito para durar, pelo menos passa essa impressão.3) As medidas da cadeira, eram minha maior preocupação. Tenho 1,78 e peso 83kg. Ficou perfeito, realmente acredito que uma pessoa de 1.80 irá se adaptar bem. Pessoas maiores, acredito que a SL5000 fique melhor e possui os mesmos recursos da SL4000.4) A largura do encosto atende muito bem, mesmo para mim que tenho as costas mais largas. Não sei se indivíduos mais gordinhos terão alguma dificuldade, mas para mim, ainda tem um bom espaço entre os braços.5) As rodinhas são ótimas. Grandes e deslizam suavemente sem barulho algum. Devem ser emborrachadas.6) O estofamento em geral é bem rígido, mas nada que incomode o uso por longos períodos de tempo.7) As almofadas que acompanham o produto também são ótimas, do mesmo material da cadeira, porém com o conteúdo mais macio. Como o encosto é muito bem desenhado e mantém as costas perfeitamente alinhadas, não senti necessidade da almofada lombar. Já a da cabeça ajuda muito para relaxar o pescoço.8) Os braços possuem ajustes independentes 4D: altura, espaçamento lateral, diagonal, para frente e para traz. Não tem como não atender a todos.9) Ruído zero. Minha cadeira anterior de escritório, semi-nova e agora doada para minha filha, fazia alguns barulhos quando me movimentava. Gerava um certo constrangimento nas minhas reuniões virtuais. Essa nova cadeira VERTAGEAR, me impressionou muito nessa questão. Nada de ruído.10) A base é de alumínio e bem projetada para os malabarismos dos usuários.11) Por fim, as alavancas de controles são bem produzidas e funcionais.Recomendo a todos que se encaixam nas características de altura e peso sugeridos pelo fabricante.180 cm / 90 kg.Gratidão por ter o privilégio de comprar um produto como esse. Espero ter ajudado outras pessoas que como eu, sofrem para escolher diante de tantas ofertas.

Doesn't really get better than this. Very comfy. Very customisable. You can almost lie completely flat on it if you wanted to. I don't tend to use the lower back cushion very much but it's a nice design / style.

After a year and a half this chair is still in great condition. The amount of things that can be adjusted is incredible and it's pretty comfortable. However I'm 6ft 2 - 85kg and it is a bit small particularly for leg and shoulder width so if your any bigger I definitely wouldn't recommend this chair.

Primeiro, deve-se ter em mente que a Vertagear tem vários modelos de cadeiras, com medidas diferentes. Então, tem que prestar atenção naquela cujo tamanho seja mais adequado para cada pessoa. Dito isso, a SL4000 serviu muito bem, tanto para minha esposa quanto pra mim. Tem ajuste de altura da cadeira e dos braços; na cadeira, ainda tem inclinação e, nos braços, ajuste pra frente/trás e aberto/fechado. As almofadas para lombar e nuca são confortáveis. Os rodízios são silenciosos e não marcar o piso. O material do conjunto parece ser bem durável. e, ao contrário da maioria das cadeiras, o prazo de garantia é de, no mínimo, 1 ano (vejam no site do fabricante).

A cadeira aparenta ser bem construída com materiais de qualidade. Fácil montagem. Não recomendo se você, como eu, tem pernas musculosas ou grossas pois as abas laterais do assento são extremamente desconfortáveis. Acredito que não sejam problema para pessoas com pernas fracas ou finas. Além disso, durante a montagem da cadeira, percebi um pó alaranjado ao encaixar o encosto. Verifiquei então que estrutura metálica no interior do encosto estava enferrujada. Muito preocupante. Irei devolver o produto.
