AlkazoneAccurate Check Ph Test Strips for Water, 50 Count

I used these to test my outdoor hose water, my softened water, my softened water after it went through the RO system, and a cup of black tea. I also used it to test all of the aforementioned water variations after adding Alkazone Alkaline Booster drops.The strips did record the differences between all the liquids I tested, but the results were very general. Because I tested so many liquids, I had a lot of data showing me the strips could indeed detect the different ph levels, but not in a precise way. The strips were sufficient for proving that the Alkaline Booster drops were working, but if exact ph numbers are important to you, these strips won't do the job. They will only provide a range the ph falls into, a "guesstimate."Some have commented that the colors on the strips do not match the colors on the chart. This is true, and is part of what contributes to getting a general result instead of a precise one. You can get a general idea though, because the strips still behave consistently (they consistently mismatch in the same way) and you get used to purple being brown, etc. One thing that helped me get a better result was to wait 2 or 3 minutes (instead of just 20 seconds) to take the final reading. The colors seemed to separate out a bit better by then.

My friends own a sushi shop, and they told me that they were having difficulties to fulfill the State's requiremnts to keep a record of the pH of their sushi rice. I bought this product for them, and I was told that the strips have been giving them consistent pH readings. They were a little confused about how to read it at the beginning, yet were very happy about the capacity of double checking after my explanation.The State of NJ requires sushi rice to have a pH less than 4.6, so the increment of 1 is fine for their purpose, as long as the reading is 4 or less. Yet from the scientific point of view it's not exactly the right way to interprete the number this way, and will be much nicer if they offer a smaller increment.

I have tested Alkazone Ph Test Strips for Water, Micro Essential Lab 9800 pHydrion pH Range: 0.0 To 14.0, 100 pH (Strips/Vial, Plastic pH Test Strips), and Nature2's Spa Test Strips. While the Alkazone strips are an improvement over the Micro Essential Lab 9800 pHydrion (pHydrion) strips (which don't work at all), the colors are not as vivid as they appear on the comparison sample on the container. In addition, a solution I knew to be a pH of 9 tested as a 7 using the Alkazone strips. In fact, plain Fiji bottled water tested at a 7 and the pH reading on the Alkazone strips appeared unchanged even after adding alkalizing drops and/or baking soda both of which should have brought the pH above 9.With the pHydrion strips, plain Fiji bottled water tested between a 3-4 pH while the Fiji bottle claims it is a 7.8 pH. Also, the color of the pHydrion strips does not change consistently throughout the strip. In fact, anything under a pH of 8 will only change the edges of the litmus paper such that the edges will be green while the center remains peach/orange/yellow.The Nature2's Spa Test Strips appear to work the best for testing water. They appear to be relatively accurate; unfortunately, these strips don't test pH above an 8.

compared this tool on two separate alkaline water sources. One source is reliable at a water store nearby. The second source was an in-home source. Both sources got the same reading, but neither got the high (purple) reading on this tester. Called the provider I purchased it from and he/they promised to send another container. Two weeks have passed. Next time I'll go for the more expensive tester.

Simple to use. Unfortunately, I have no way to check the accuracy. They seem to read lower on the acid side than I would have thought, but they may be correct.

This product is easy to read the color test strips. The problem I have is all the water I've tested seems to come out the same reading.

Product seems to work great. I tested about 12 bottles of water including tap water. I will be ordering it again in the future.

The product arrived on time and in good shape. Thank you. However, the Alkazone Ph Test Strips for Water did not come with a color chart. Testing for water is not what I really wanted anyway so it was a good learning experience. I think when you offer testing strips like these, you should automatically put in a color chart to let you know what you are looking at.

They just don't work!First I tested plain tap water and the strip turned a bright pink, unlike any colours on the tube. I then added 3 drops of Alkazone and same result, same bright pink, I then added 10 drops to a glass of water and the result was exactly the same!As we live in a very hard water area, thought I'd try the same test with bottled mineral water, which has a ph of 6.7. The strip was a bright lime green, indicating a ph of about 4, then I added 4 drops of Alkazone and strip was a strange pinky/khaki colour, like none of the colours on the pack.As far as I'm concerned these are a complete waste of money and I definitely wouldn't buy them again.

An American product that has 50 test strips to check the PH level of water. Found very useful as am living abroad and water quality is an issue. Bought for £9.24

This was a waste of money, it is simply not accurate. I tried it on various acid/alkali liquids and the colour did not change

Does exactly what it should when it should.
