Strong as I hoped they would be.Not sure why they come separated.Kind of a pain to screw hook and base together. Good project for watching TV or bored kid (old enough not to put them in mouth).

Purchased to use on a cruise. They came in very handy, held most things we used them for. I think we may purchase a set that are a little stronger too, but these really worked great for most of our items.

Took these magnet hooks on Alaskan cruise. They were perfect for hanging jackets, robes, umbrellas, and bags. I don't truly believe they would hold 85 pounds. I tried to hang a coat, but it made the magnet slide down the wall. They met my needs and I will use them again. They saved a lot of space in the closets for other items that needed to be hung.
