A great compact towel warmer.
I have been searching for a small towel warmer for a while but the only ones I could find were $1,000+ for the size I had available. This one was 1” too wide but figured I’d give it a go. I ended up making mounting board and wrapped a corner which gave me the extra inch I needed. I hooked it up to a timer so we can now run it for a pre-determined amount of time to dry the towels. It works well. It doesn’t get incredibly hot but it’s a warmer not a radiator. It dries our towels and swim gear effectively and I’m very happy with it.

Practical and luxurious
We purchased two smaller Warmrails towel warmers from Amazon for our master bath in the spring of 2007 and liked them so much we decided to add this large Warmrails towel warmer for our guest bath. All of them are superb. One of the best features is that, in the humid summer weather here in Vermont, the towels get quite dry within several hours. In the winter, of course, the towels are toasty warm. If someone wants really hot towels, this towel warmer is probably not the best choice -- towels get warm but not hot-hot. We fold our towels so they are 4 layers thick, and put them over the towel warmer (i.e., 4 layers over the front and 4 layers in the back), and 3 of the layers are quite warm. We purchased the towel warmer with a plug-in option. The cord is fairly long, and our electrician was able to thread the cord through a hole right behind the towel warmer, and plug it into an outlet in a closet behind the bathroom. This made the cord practically invisible in the bathroom. Finally, the towel warmer metal rails are quite warm, but I can put my hand on them for a few seconds without feeling like I will get burned. I would highly recommend the Warmrails product.

Not so much for warming, but does wonders keeping things nice and dry!
We have issues with humidity in our bathroom. We had to put our bath towels out to dry on the window every day because they would be otherwise wet the next day when we wanted to take a shower. I went to London for work for a month and stayed with a friend in his apartment there. Most homes in Europe seem to have these towel warmers built into their houses, and it was the first time I had seen these things. The moment I came back home I looked for a way to have one of those so I could solve our wet towel problem. This towel warmer is really good, and it is also decently efficient for energy. Our towels dried well from one day to another, and our electricity bill did not go up by any noticeable amount. It is not hot enough to warm up the towels though, which is why I'm giving 4 out of 5 stars. If you're looking for something that will make our towels nice and comfy, this is not your solution. It fits well two large towels when they're folded in half, or one without folding, we found that folding and placing both at the same time is sufficient for both to dry up. It even has space for our small face towel when that one gets too wet. It also works really well for drying small articles of clothing such as socks or underwear. We sometimes wash those at home when we don't want to go out for laundry and have them dry overnight on the Warmrains. Works perfectly!

Good temperature for drying towels
This was pretty easy to install, I hard wired it to a programmable timer because I don't think it needs to run 24/7 and I didn't want to bother with turning it on and off. I purchased this for the sole reason of drying towels, I don't care about a warm towel, just dry. My Ryobi laser temp gauge indicated that temps were as high as 120 at the top end of the unit and about 90 at the bottom (with two towels folded in 1/3 segments onboard). It may or may not warm towels (other reviews are mixed), but it is certainly warm enough to do what we want, which is to dry our shower towels so that they don't get musty. The unit measurements online were correct. SUPPLEMENT: My wife mentioned this morning without any prompting that her towel was nice and warm. So it warms towels in our household. And the towel holder had only been on for about 90 minutes before she showered.

Lukewarm, not toasty warm. Don't waste your time unless you live in a cold place and don't heat your bathroom.
First off, let me start by saying I know from experience how this SHOULD work. Years ago while traveling through Europe I stayed at a small hostel that had a towel warmer in the bathroom. It was fantastic. The towels were toasty-very warm to the touch. This product does not provide anywhere near that level of warmth. While the bars of the towel warmer are very warm (not hot, despite the warning in the instructions) sometime after the warmer is turned on (it also takes too long to warm up, the instructions say up to 45 minutes), they are not spaced closely enough to warm the entire towel. The towel only feels warm to the touch in the spots where it touched the warming bars. Because the heat is only distributed over a small area of the towel (less than 10%), the overall effect is that the towel feels like it is at room temperature (for a normally heated house) or only slightly warmer than that. The instructions (and some of the reviews) tell you to "layer" the towels. Great advice, if you have more than one towel to use. Otherwise, useless. Additionally, while layering will insulate the inside towel from colder temperatures and help to heat up the inside towel(s), now you have to peel off a cold towel to get to the warm towel on the inside. Not very practical. The only way I imagine you would get a true benefit (at the cost of a raised electric bill because this product is so inefficient...btw, nowhere in the instructions does it tell you how many Watts of power this product uses) is captured in my title. If you live in a cold place, and don't heat your bathroom, then I imagine the towels would feel warm to you. Otherwise, this is not a wise purchase. My thanks to Amazon for having such an amazing return policy. Full refund. Great company.

Un toque de elegancia y funcionalidad, es pequeña pero para un baño de 2 es más que suficiente

One of my 20 year old towel warmers died, and I was worried about finding a replacement that would be as good and fit into the same space. I did.

Bought a smaller one from a bath retailer; we've had it for three years and it works great! This one, for another bathroom, cost 60% of what I paid for the first one.

Installed this Towel Warmer a few weeks ago. It works fine...but the rails get too hot to touch. You need to keep switching it off after half an hour or so....
