I purchased these Billbotk 7" trivets and they work exactly as expected. They’re sturdy, heat-resistant, and the size is just right for my pots and hot dishes. These are cute and very functional. I got them to protect surfaces from colanders and other items. They feel stiff, but they soften with washing or after being rolled up in different directions. I washed them because they had a slight odor which bothered me, but I’m overly sensitive to odors. They have a vintage look, like old time braided rugs have, but they would go with any decor. They’re easy on the eyes. They should be good for protecting surfaces from heat because they’re thick. The size is perfect for a colander with a round bottom and the round shape looks much better than a square pad. After washing, they became more flexible and they would probably loosen up even more with repeated washings or folding/rolling. I wanted them to look vintage so I tried to loosen them up. It’s possible to make them, but that would require the purchase of materials and considerable time, so I’m thinking that they were a wise purchase and a good value. I’ll probably use them forever.
