RMF-TX900U with Voice, Blacklight and high end Metal Case

Bought a 2023 Sony Bravia - XR55-X90L TV that came without a backlit remote - I guess $1,100 wasn't enough to expect a decent remote !! Bought a new backlit remote - RMF-TX900U that does not list the Sony X90L tv as being compatible but I assure you, it is 100% compatible. At $ 53.00 for this backlit remote, I put it thru it's paces and as I said, all buttons are functional. One hiccup - when pairing it with the tv, it initially appeared to not be compatible, but I did the ole re-boot - after completing the pairing protocol, I turned off the tv and turned off the remote, gave it a minute or so and turned both back on and everything worked 100%. Well worth the money to be able to see the remote at night !

This is the OEM Sony remote and it works perfectly. It is an excellent remote, though pricey. It feels solid, and the backlights come on automatically when you pick up the remote. This remote comes with the Costco version of the Sony Bravia tvs, but unfortunately, the original remote was lost during home remodeling. I used a remote app, but finally decided to replace the remote. Note - ordered from another supplier twice what was supposed to be Sony OEM remote, the picture even showed Sony label, but it was a cheap plastic knockoff. The Sony remote is worth the extra cost, IMHO.

We have a Sony Bravia XR and this remote works great with it. I don't use the voice functions. Don't waste money on the cheap knock off remotes, I had one and the buttons have to be pressed just right to work. This remote works just like the one that came with the TV. Buy this one!

The range of this remote is frustrating. You basically have to move around to get it to work because signal is weak. Not worth the aggravation.

Works but is has connectivity issues, I am unable to update the firmware like everyone else why? Mainly got it for the backlit buttons.

The original remote that came with my Sony A80J was lacking backlit keys and a remote finder function. I had read that this remote would work with my TV and add those features. Remote appears to be new and is definitely a genuine Sony. Paired easily with my TV and then requested a software update, which went through without issue. Verified both backlit keys and remote finder function with my TV. Great, easy upgrade!

The media could not be loaded. We bought an open box tv. Got a huge discount because they store couldn’t locate the original remote. Many videos said it wasn’t possible to find and connect a remote. All I did was press the power button and it worked! Not I can access all the additional menus and setting on our tv. Thank you!Btw the backlight sensor works just fine, remember to connect your remote via Bluetooth and sign into google to use the voice feature.

Sony has different types of remote control, this one is called "Premium" and only come with certain Sony TV types. It lights up well at night or any time. Works well with the Sony (XR55A80L) and there was no need to program anything, just point at the TV and click. I believe Sony does not make these premium remote controls anymore, it has been discontinued. Too bad, they are really nice.
