I got these on September 25th, as a fun little activity to do with our 7-year-old niece while she was over for a visit. On the 26th, we opened up the package, along with the organic soil and some cute window pots I bought separately, and got to work. We moistened the soil a bit in a big bowl, added it to the pots one by one, then, following the great instructions that came with this kit, planted our seeds! Afterward, we gently spritzed the top of each plant with a spray bottle to moisten without disturbing our new seeds, put the pots in the trays and added water to the trays for bottom-up watering. All told, it was maybe an hour from opening the package to placing them in our sunny windowsill. I promised our niece I'd send pics "in a week or so" when the seeds began to sprout, so she could see them grow. But then, during my daily check for watering on September 30th, we had basil sprouts! And on Oct 1 (today) thyme was sprouting up as well. She was so surprised and excited to get pics of our little baby sprouts so soon! I can't tell you how many times I've tried in the past to get plants to grow from seeds, and failed every time. This time felt like such a breeze and by the looks of those sprouts, our little herb garden is doing great and will soon give us food we grew ourselves, right in our own kitchen. And the best part, a little 7yo kid now has a little spark of joy and excitement about gardening and growing our own food! I will most certainly be purchasing the full kit as gifts for others and highly recommend this seed kit to anyone who wants a great little herb garden! **NOTE: The rosemary in the photos is not from this kit, but rather a cutting I propagated and planted in the tray along with the sage and thyme, since I had a leftover pot. 😊

I only planted 6 of the seed types (Rosemary, Thyme, Sage, Lavender, Basil, and Chives) so far. They are indoors with plenty of light and water, and I'm already seeing germination in all the pots, including a lot of sprouts of thyme and basil! The germination rate seems a little uneven across seed types, but that's to be expected. Really happy with my purchase!

I planted the seeds in a hydroponic garden and they all germinated. What more could you ask for?

I wasn't sure when I bought them how well they would work however I am so happy with this purchase. I bought these seeds to go in my aerogarden. I wanted to see if regular seeds would work so I could save some money. The sage, thyme, and dill have already sprouted and taste great! I will try the rest next. I would recommend these seeds.

So far so good but just planted them. Will keep an eye on them

We still have basil growing in October 2025.

These seeds are hit or miss. I got them in April 2025 to grow in my aerogarden and none of the lavender has grown out of the 5 times I've tried. I've only gotten one oregano plant out of about 15 seeds. The chives aren't the best quality either, they're so frail and thin that I haven't been able to keep any alive to full growth. The basil, dill, sage and parsley are the main players in this package. I'm still so sad about the lavender though. I was looking forward to making my own soap with it.

Update: Cilantro, thyme and sage sprouted really quick like in under 4 days. Basil under a week and parsley took a little over a week. I live in Vegas and it’s like 111 here. I take them out really early in the morning for a little sunshine and take them back in before noon. To try to harden them and acclimate to our weather (I’m a newbie trying to experiment here :) ) They are going strong and very hopeful that they’ll survive so I can replant them outside by Sept. I would suggest to plant more seeds than what is recommended. - - - - I love buying from small businesses because of the personal touch of the owners on their product. First, I love the packaging. I like how the seeds are in biodegradable tubes not in plastics. They also included instructions for newbies like me who turn to growing our own food. Customer service is amazing. I contacted them and responded like within an hour and my concern was addressed very promptly. I am a very satisfied customer and will purchase more as soon as Las Vegas weather allows us to plant more greens. I will update my review with pictures as soon as I see sprouting. Thanks!
