Very good. All metal construction - I really did not want the plastic versions with two metal magnet strips.Consists of a rear mounting plate, with short posts to hold it away from the wall slightly, (therefore wall does not need to be perfectly flat).The front plate, containing the magnets, is held by the magnets onto the rear mounting plate. I was really quite skeptical about this until I offered the front plate up and the magnets snapped the plate out of my hand and clamped it on with a loud metallic click. Gave me a bit of a shock - the magnets are really very strong.Looks sleek, decent quality metal finish, and very functional.

Fast and prompt delivery. The item was as described and is a genuine IKEA product. Installation was simple but please note that you will need your own tools, screws and wall plugs. There are 2 components- the wall bracket and the actual magnetic bar. You need to screw in 2 screws with the washers provided to the wall bracket before attaching the bar. The bar attaches via magnetism so no need for any fiddling/glue or grooves. The magnets are quite powerful so be careful when you finally apply it to the wall bracket as it will snap on strongly. You can fit 6-9 knives comfortably as well. Would definitely recommend this for your kitchen if you are looking for space saving solutions. Now I can finally dump the knife block!

Was able to put up this rack in about 5 mins, it has an incredibly strong magnet and looks great. One of the reasons I chose this rack is that the screw fixings are concealed. It is unusual in that the backing plate is fixed to the wall and then it is only the magnet that holds the front on, but as the magnet is so strong that just means it is easier to install. Keep your fingers away from the edges when you attach it! It slams together. Very pleased with purchase.

This is a superb kitchen enhancement. The plane, simple stainless finish matches the other appliances in our kitchen. The magnet is powerful and so much better than our previous rack which had twin magnetic rails. Fitting was simple but you do need 2 suitable screws which are not supplied as it can be fitted to a variety of surfaces. The fixing should siut the surface it is being fitted to.

Good clean design with a whole surface magnet that holds the knives firmly. The spacers that hold the rack away from the wall are 'minimal' so if the wall isn't flat and even, any longer knives don't hang vertically (but with a bit of tinkering the rack can be made to sit correctly). Its currently holding six knives and a small cleaver so we're very pleased with it.

This is an excellent product. Two screws to fix it (not supplied) and then the front plate snaps on with very powerful magnet. It is an IKEA product and is very stylish when fixed on the wall. Hold knives very securely and you can buy little hooks to fit onto it for your hooked spatulas etc. recommend.

Very strong magnet. I have 7 knives attached to this and they hold really well. If anything it could be a little too strong, as you have to put in quite a bit of effort to get the bigger knives off, that I'm worried that the whole thing might pull off the wall! I think the trick is to rotate the knives off rather than just pull them.A little more expensive than some other magnetic holders, but worth it for the looks and function I feel.

This is an amazing addition to my kitchen. It stores a lot of knives and they are always clean and ready to use.Make sure to have a high part of your kitchen wall to append it to so that it is only at adults reach. It is quite long.
