Love this pack! It’s lightweight and simple and very comfortable. Great day pack. Enough pockets to be able to organize/find things quickly, and I keep a couple of small stuff sacks in the main compartment. I like that it can hold my 3L hydration pack and has a couple of outside stretch pockets that I can put additional water bottles in. I have another Osprey pack, a Manta 30, that I’ve had for a decade, and have used a lot, and it’s still going strong.

I love the size and weight. The space between the backpack and your back allows for good ventilation and helps keep your back from getting sweaty. The padding is sufficient and the materials are high - what you would expect from Osprey. Having the rain cover in it's own zippered pouch is a nice touch. As others have mentioned, the only thing that I could suggest is to have at least one more zipper pocket to keep things organized. Other than that, I love it.

It is a great day pack. Worked perfectly with my water bladder. The space frame and load lifters kept the weight from being directly on my shoulders and the mesh back kept my back cool when I was in the sun.

I've been on the hunt for a pack that I can take on day hikes but that will fit enough gear to survive overnight if I get lost in the woods. After trying and rejecting sizes too big and too small, this one is perfect to fit just enough but avoid over-packing and becoming too heavy and cumbersome. That being said, there are a few features I would have liked to see. Another internal organizing pocket with individual slots for smaller gear items I need handy would have been nice (the top "sunglasses" pocket is an open bucket style and anything short/small you put in the mesh hydration sleeve will sink to the bottom and be hard to find). Also, I would have LOVED some straps on the bottom to be able to attach that one peice of gear that's a little too big to fit inside for those times when you just need a little extra capacity. I could have even rigged something myself using the trekking pole slots if they put similar little slots on the back bottom side of the bag. So a few misses on features, but overall a nice bag especially for the price. I will be keeping and am excited to start using it for my daily hikes!

This is just the right size for a day's hiking essentials, and the trampoline back that ventilates and elevates the pack off your back is perfect for summer hikes. It is a super lightweight, comfortable and very practical. Osprey backs their products with an ironclad warranty and great customer service so there is absolutely no downside to this backpack!

I just used this backpack for the first time yesterday on a bike trip. The chest and waist straps helped it to stay secure all day. It did not get hot against my back and it had just the right amount of storage for a day trip. I am so glad I purchased this back pack.

All good and I really like it for what it designed for. The light weight frame really helped ventilation and transferring the weight to the hip. Want to deduct 0.5 of star for missing another internal zipper pocket, even though there is a external accessible one.

The picture showed the bag was carried by the male model which is brighter orange, however it is a little dull for the real thing. Anyway, the bag is functional, is good enough.

I’ve been using the Osprey Hikelite 18 for my day hikes, and it’s been great. It’s lightweight, sits comfortably on my back, and the breathable mesh panel makes a huge difference. It has just enough pockets to stay organised without feeling bulky. Highly recommended if you want a reliable daypack.
