Gold Tone MUTE Banjo Mute

I came across this device while searching for something else and bought it for the potential benefit to non banjo players in the house. It is easy to fit & remove and dampens the sound remarkably well.

This is a great product. A very simple idea that works well. I am now able to practice my banjo without annoying the whole household. I would have given it 5 stars but for one thing. Having spent £21 for it I had to wait a long time for delivery. Yes I know, it had to come from Japan. But, and be aware of this any potential buyer, I had to pay £12.26p duty on it before the Post Office would let me have it.

Felt a bit loose

Rubbish. To quieten the sound by fixing it to the bridge it destroys the banjo sound and turns it into a tinny cheap ping. Have had to adapt it and line it with thin rubber strips and place it over strings behind the bridge. Better, but still looses the tone of a really expensive banjo.

I love my banjo mute so easy.I don't have to worry about stuffing.Socks or hand towels, anything behind it to mute it out.This works great and I love the tone.That's muted, but I still hear a pure tone.Thank you

In einer Mietwohnung hat man mit einem open back banjo gleich viele freunde... Daher ist der Dämpfer die Rettung.Dämpft sehr gut, der Klang ist dann natürlich nicht mehr so toll. Man muss ihn ein bisschen zurecht biegen, damit er passt, aber dann erfüllt er bestens seinen Job!

Works great on Gold Tone Cripple Creek series banjos. Easy to slide it in and out the bridge. It does dampen the sound but preserves the sound quality.

Cette sourdine pour banjo est très efficace sachant que le banjo est un instrument puissant. Je la recommande pour jouer à volonté sans gêner ses voisins ou ses proches.
