I could see this working for most cats it was very tall and I was shocked my cat jumped over it but she did. Maybe test how high your cat can jump or if its a bigger cat it would most likely work.

Been waiting years for someone to make this gate! It is well-made and sturdy. Easy to install, but definitely a two-person job. One person to hold it in place, the other to work the assembly part. Took about 15 minutes. The adjustable bolts on the side make it easy to work with molding. I purchased wall nannies, so I wouldn't damage the drywall. This has been a life-saver when my daughter and her two cats visit, or when I need my cat to stay in a certain part of the house. The gate is very secure and traverses in both directions....you can open it with one hand, but it is much easier to open it with two. I would not recommend this for a dog unless it is a very small dog. I ordered a second one for my daughter's house. Love this purchase!

This was harder to install than the previous gate but serves the purpose. It didn't fit the doorway opening at the bottom because of the baseboards so it had to be installed above which made the floor bar stick out.

I seen it worked for so many ppl so I decided to try itMind you my boys are crazyOne is an actual chaos gremlinThe other is his shadowAnd they are brothersThey got over it the first time in just a half a day🫤😲I went as far as trying to cover the top half with tape and laminate so to stop them from using the middle barWorked for maybe a week..He started putting one front paw and a back paw on the gate and the other front and back paw on the wall and was using the angle and was literally using the wall to get over itOn top of it he is a spring and could already jump almost as high as the gate lol!Thankfully they gave me a Lil over 2 months to return it and I did free shipping and got my money back without much hassle which I was glad forBut will not hold back ALL kitties lol

The media could not be loaded.  Super tall and thin bars! Thwarted both our kittens, even when the smallest was 2.5 pounds. At first, the smaller one (pictured) slipped through the end where the bars are a teeny bit wider right against the wall, but we used an extra bar to seal off that weak point.Note: After this video, kitten was carried into the forbidden planet and kept purring even when she was brought outside again 1 minute later

I purchased a little shorter than the door size thinking none of our cats would be able to jump it at 61" tall. I was wrong. We have one cat that will not be contained by this gate, but it's fantastic at keeping the majority of our herd in the space we need them in while we moved houses. Great non permanent option for fosters or renters. Sturdiness depends on how securely you tighten the screws. The opening of the door takes two hands for us short folks because I can't lift the door enough with one. Opens both ways for easy walk through.

Gate is very strong and heavy. Young kids and animals will not be able to pull back plus lift in order to pass through. Perfect for our needs.

I was pretty excited to get to this so imagine my disappointment when the bolt holes have no threads so there’s literally no way to install the tension mounts. Secondarily, it comes with instructions like “please combine the reality to decide whether to add encryption rod”. It’s English, but that string of words doesn’t belong together. Do not recommend.UPDATE: I'm updating this rating from 1 to 2 stars because the seller reached out to me and was helpful. They provided a video that walks through the install process and I see that the issue I experienced was due to the poor instructions received with the gate as opposed to the gate itself. However, the video is nowhere to be found on the product page so did me no good as I'd already returned it. I still think the instructions that come with the gate are useless and should be updated, but the gate itself would probably have worked well if I'd been able to install it.

This gate was exactly as advertised, the measurements were accurate. We use it to block off a doorway for our growing lab puppy who could jump up on a shorter barrier.Installation is simple, the parts are quality and when set up, it's very strong.I really like that the door opens both directions, our old one didn't.
