Spintastics Trompe Grande Spin Top - Red

I bought this as a prop for a costume I’m making but it is really nice. It’s big and heavy and you can tell it’s nice quality. The packaging is just a thin plastic box with the top, a string, a button, and a business card. The website the QR code links to doesn’t have any instructions on how to use it, but I found a great video on YouTube called “How to Wind Up and Throw a Spin Top,” which is how I found out how to attach the string. Probably not the best for beginnings; but the best value for your money for sure. Also the white tape comes off. I removed it after I took the photos. I assume the top opens so you can store the string and button, and that the tape was to keep it shut, but I haven’t managed to get it open yet.

I was really hoping this would be a win for my son who is very much into the multitude of Korean games. He has had a few other spinning tops in the past but needed something more substantial. At first this seemed to be right on point. However, after a handful of attempts on a hard surface, the top of the item became dislodged. It is easy enough to put back on, but the connection to the bottom lost it's efficacy. He did have fun with this, though it caused a little frustration each time he had to put the pieces back together before the next spin.

spins good the tape broke and the whole top came off had to reassemble agian had to use eletrical tape then the tips came off had to use strong glue to put it back on but good for tricks

Long time spinner

The Trompo is nice however the string that comes with it is very low quality. It gets stuck and won’t let the trompo slide off. Also it took almost 3 weeks for product to arrive from date of purchase.
