Good alternative to the more expensive version.
Used the charger for an older model Canon cam-corder. It works very well.

The camera plug came apart
On its first use the charging cable plug which goes into the camera, when removed came apart in three pieces. Very unhappy 🙁

I hadn't used my canon FS100 camcorder for a while due to the power adaptor/charger giving up the ghost a few years back so I typed the make and model into the search box and hoped to find an original canon replacment, sadly I gave up looking after about six pages into the search realising that it was pretty much futile that I would find one, I however after looking at one after another claiming to fit the FS100 but not looking like the connector plug would fit came across the glorich CA590 and on closer inspection noticed that the connection plug was the exact type needed to fit the camera so I bought the adaptor and it works a treat 👌
