It’s not very often you use a product where results can be seen after one application, but I did see a difference when I used the skin Chemists Retinol Bakuchiol Facial Serum. In fact, in the morning my face smoother and then I remembered I had applied this serum the night before. When I apply it I can feel my skin tightening up.One of the most impressive aspects of this serum is its gentle yet effective formula. Bakuchiol, a natural alternative to Retinol, provides similar anti-aging benefits but without the irritation often associated with Retinol. This makes it suitable for those with sensitive skin, which is a big plus.Its something I am going to continue to use as I think it is making a difference to my skin

I use this once a day, in the evening and did notice a small difference. It doesn't irritate my sensitive skin, which is a plus. It makes my skin feel smooth, and it sinks in well, without leaving any residue. The consistency is creamy, and there is no overpowering scent. As I use it in my evening routine I can't comment on how it works with makeup, but overall it is a pleasant product to use and I will look at further products from this brand when I next need to fill a gap in my skincare.

** update **I've been using this regularly now and I must say I really like it. My skin feels really smooth and the skin tone is more even, not blotchy at all. I do think it has softened some of my crows feet and forehead lines. I don't usually change my face products due to sensitivity, but I am impressed with this cream. It's great under foundation too, doesn't go shiny and greasy like some. 5*I have very very sensitive skin and have to be careful what I put on it, so I usually stick to my trusted brand that I have used for years, I had the opportunity to test this one so went for it. It does have a very strong smell which is an indication that it is going to irritate my skin but I have to say it is a lovely thick smooth serum that went on my skin beautifully, I had no irritation at all as usually after 5 mins if my skin is going to react it will by then. It soaked in lovely and didn't remain greasy on my skin, I was also able to put my foundation on top which again glided on nicely, and didn't do that thing where sometimes the dead skin cells start to flake off. I will continue to use it for a couple weeks and update my review but so far I really like it. 5*

I have normal to dry skin. I have used this product for just under three weeks.I found the scent of this product to be very strong and unpleasant. Fortunately, the scent went away very quickly after application. The serum absorbed very quickly and didn't seem to leave a residue.Unfortunately, this product is not for me. I found it to be very drying for my skin type and had to discontinue use after developing dry patches. This product might work better for someone with an oilier skin type.

This serum is beginner friendly for those who have not tried retinol before, it combines some hydration to the retinol which is important if you have dry skin like me. My skin did not feel tight afterwards. This product made it easy to add retinol into my skincare routine, although I will have to use it for many more weeks in order to see if it has reduced my fine lines. As I am new to retinol I only use it twice a week and follow up with sun cream to protect my skin.
