Filthy Muk Duo Pack 95g + 50g tin 2022 Alternative Packaging

By far the best hair product on the market. I have been using this for years now. It has a great texture. Very little is needed to create your desired style and smells amazing, like apples in fact. does not leave a wet look in hair.The smaller tub is very useful for throwing in my gym bag and I even have one in the car, just incase.The effects of the 'paste' as the label calls it, does not disappear over the day and it is very sweat resistant. Hair can easily be moved about and moved back but does not lose style by day to day activities etc

Comparison with other brands:I've only fairly recently started using wax in my hair and came across this at my local hairdressers. The scent in particular caught my attention.I've used other products recently like VO5 matt fibre, matt styling paste, rework putty, styling wax, and finally Shockwaves clay.VO5 styling wax is ok - it leaves a slight shine and does have good hold but the scent is slightly offputting especially when you're applying it on a daily basis.The matt fibre and matt styling paste are pretty much the same with the paste being in an awkward pump bottle which is near impossible to get out. Both these take a bit more effort to work into your hands without providing too much friction to then get the product into your hair (without pulling hairs out whilst applying it). They do pill a little.Shockwaves clay looks good and has good hold but has a wetter stickier feel to it when applying. I think the hold is slightly superior to muk.Muk Hold & Consistency:By comparison I would say this product has good hold. It's easier to work between your hands and apply and fairly easy to wash off.Restyling:It's easy to restyle throughout the day and the hold isn't affected.Also doesn't feel greased up and means you can take a top off/put one on and not feel like you've greased your clothes up. You will need to restyle it though.Scent:The scent is a lot nicer than VO5 with a nice fresh apple scent.It's not overly strong throughout the course of the day and is most noticeable when first applying it.Packaging:x2 metal tins in a plastic tray in a cardboard box.I suppose it would be easy for the tins to get dinted in the post and then it would be hard to open them with them being metal.Personally I think the inner tray could be made from cardboard, or if they are sent in amazon cardboard packaging as opposed to the brown paper bags just the tins themselves would be ok.I think they could potentially be supplied in cardboard tubs as I'm not sure how recyclable the tins would be.Value:It's £14 RRP for x1 95g tin so 2 at £19 isn't bad.Still a little more than I'd like to pay though.It's worth going for the bigger tins and duo pack as using daily you're bound to get through this.Summary:Wish I'd just started with this rather than waste money and go with all the other high street brands which aren't as good.I highly recommend this.The photo shows my hair fairly short straight after getting it cut but it's pretty good for hair with some length to it as well.

Great product for a good price. The smaller one is user for travel and the other one every day which works really well for my partner with his job. Would highly recommend.It is between a clay and paste texture which does not dry hard.

Have used this product for some years now. Excellent product for short fine hair or short thick hair. My hubby and I both use it.
