There is a lot to like about mapambo adapter. First, it's sturdy. It feels more substantial in your hand and the fixture that holds the male plugs that go into the outlet is well designed. it's not going to get damaged in your luggage or if you drop it. Also, the plug extends out a half inch +. So it can reach into recessed outlets that are common in older European hotels. It has 2 usb and 2 Apple fast charging cable outlets-- so plenty of capacity for even the most digital traveler. There are also one of each type of common U.S. charging cable-- the 3 prong, C type that is commonly used by laptops and a 2 prong, B type that is often used for mobile phones. I used 5 of the converter's outlets at one this week in France and Germany. Everything functioned perfectly-- charging was quick and all the outlets readily accommodated my cords. If you go to continental Europe a lot, get this and toss out the junky single plugs in the bottom of your overseas travel drawer. The only draw back to this is that you need a separate device if you're going to the UK on the same trip. But that weakness is also a strength. The universal converters that have plugs for all geographies are bulky and often down connect all that well to certain outlets, especially the C type in continental Europe. You trade one problem for another one. This product would be very useful for a regular traveler or someone heading over for a longer-period-- year abroad students, someone going over for a long-term project, etc.

This one will replace my old universal travel plug. I got this one because you can use it to charge phones and I don't have to carry additional plugs. All in one helps with weight restrictions and keep track of electronics.
