HP Officejet Pro 6830 e-All-in-One Printer

The product arrived ahead of projected time and was well packaged. The instructions were easy to follow and I found no problem connecting it to my Netgear router, laptop, PC and tablet. I was very pleased with the quality of wireless printing, copying and scanning - good speed, sharpness and colour. Very pleased with product - good quality and value . (Some very useful Youtube clips are available for HP 6830).

I have had this printer for about six weeks. I am pretty close to returning it. I will waste just a couple more hours in trying to get the printhead working properly and then that's it. Looking at I am more than disappointed - 'though it may be that being brand loyal is the problem - including using HP ink cartridges for this printer. If it works it's great. It is not working. It should be working therefore it is just taking up space. On help sites it looks as though this is a pretty common problem in the early days (up to about three months) so if you can get through that you may be OK. Additional points: 5th October 2015 - I sent this back and purchased another one, same model, This is because the primthead fault was so common that HP changed the part entirely in their later manufacture runs - so that one that I have now works perfectly well. Remi Direct, from whom I bought the original printer via Amazon, have been brilliant throughout. So my rating for the same model (more recent manufacture is noe four rather than the original two stars. .

I received this printer this morning and want to give some first impressions. The printer appears to be a quality item, and seems well put together straight out of the box. Loading ink and initial set up was without difficulty. Now we come to the issue of connecting the printer to my wireless network. Having followed the screen instructions on the (very good) colour touch screen, I typed in my router (BT Home hub 4) password, and pressed 'enter'. The printer showed an error code and the instruction to turn off and on again. Further attempts resulted in the same difficulty. A quick look online showed that this is a common problem. It seems that the printer software has issues with the DHCP server on many routers. Thankfully a fix was offered at http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Printer-All-in-One-Install-Setup/OfficeJet-Pro-6830-crashes-when-connected-to-network/td-p/4756279 Follow these instructions if you get the same problem and you should be able to solve it. HP really should implement a firmware update to overcome this issue. Once connected, it is a very good printer and excellent for the home office. We're it not for the connection issues, it would get five stars.

You want a wireless printer right? you dont want cables, thats the idea right? If so DONT buy this printer. The wireless connection is useless, every time I want to print and I mean EVERY time i have to mess about getting it to connect. Im pretty computer savvy, ive built my own PCs and can sort most issues out, this is just very very poor. Its also glacier slow to get printing when you do connect. Print quality is ok but not good

When it worked this printer was great - good print quality, quick enough for home use and double sided printing was really useful. However - like a number of other reviewers - I've just had the "printhead error' message and sent it back to Amazon for a replacement. HP really needs to improve it's ability to fix problems like these - or issue a recall notice. As someone else pointed out, being without a printer for a fortnight is very restrictive - you can't even print out the bar code despatch slip that the courier requires!

The time came to replace my six year old HP 3050 AIO printer which had started to print badly and just simply looked worn out. I opted to go for this HP OfficeJet because after £20 cashback and the 3-year warranty HP offer this month it seemed like a great deal. When you can get something like this for the same price as a decent home AIO printer you may wonder why you'd get this...but the reason is because I was tired of spending money on the crappy HP301 cartridges that only give 150 sheets a time, whereas this unit has separates and XL ink will get you around 1000~ pages. Setup: As easy as it can be if im honest, and I did opt for WiFi setup only. You turn the unit on and insert the start-up cartridges (80~ pages) then you let the printer calibrate itself. Do note that on every turn on the unit is quite noisy but when you actually scan and print its quite quiet, and im happy to have this in a family room. I like how all the options for the printer ARE on the unit itself and not hidden on a PC program, so you can actually set it up without ever communicating with a printer. You will want to check for firmware updates through the printer maintenance menu as you should with any product you buy then you are ready to rock and roll. If you want the extra's like HP Connected print (send documents to an email which then sends to the printer for printing) then you can activate that on the printer and it will print a sheet telling you how to set that up through a browser on your computer. Build: Its good to be honest, although this will be subjective. Its weighty and sturdy with the only flex in plastics being if you really try to misuse it. My only niggle is when you insert ink, both the auto feed lid and the scanning bed have to be lifted, and it doesnt lock in the upright position until it reaches 90 degrees. Printing: As i've only had this for an hour i'll only comment on mono printing text which is stupidly fast. The only lag seems to be the paper feed from the tray, but as soon as it reaches the heads it shoots out. I'd like a longer paper rest so if you print lots without picking the documents up they dont spill onto the floor. Other than that there aren't many things else to say...yes there may be reported errors, but for a unit like this at £50 with 3-years warranty i'm happy to take the risk. Also as I mainly print university documents in black with the occasional colour, I like how I can just change the black ink and not get ripped off by the tiny home cartridges.

Ho acquistato questa stampante per uso aziendale, per un ostello. E' connessa con il cavo LAN al router e quindi non è nemmeno necessario collegarla al pc con il cavo diretto (se volete potete farlo comunque). Gli ospiti possono stampare tramite AirPrint (iPhone, iPad, Mac) se sono connessi al wifi dell'ostello, o dalle postazioni. Funzionalità Fax, scanner e fotocopiatrice sono incluse. Fa anche le stampe fronte-retro. Potete gestire tutto dallo schermo touch, o dall'interfaccia web (digitate l'indirizzo IP della stampante e vi appare un vero e proprio sito-pannello di controllo). Dall'interfaccia potete fare di tutto. Scannerizzare, visualizzare il livello di inchiostro, configurare la stampante, e settare la password in modo che solo voi possiate accedere a questa interfaccia. L'interfaccia si può anche gestire da remoto, ad esempio se vi trovate all'altro capo del mondo (basta configurare il port-forwarding sul router). Le stampe sono velocissime, e la qualità eccezionale. Lo consiglio più per uso aziendale (piccole medie imprese e professionisti), visto che le dimensioni sono un po' più grandi delle classiche stampanti domestiche (comunque non eccessive). Il prezzo è bassissimo in rapporto alla qualità davvero straordinaria. Ovviamente è una officejet e pertanto stampare documenti a colori costa di più, mentre le cartucce nere sono enormi e hanno un ciclo di stampe lunghissimo (in parole povere si risparmiano soldi per stampare documenti in bianco e nero e se ne spendono di più per stampare a colori). Il cassetto dei fogli di trova avanti, basta tirarlo e si inseriscono i fogli (molto più comodo che inserire i fogli in verticale come sulle stampanti tradizionali e si impolvera molto meno).

Als ehemaliger EDV-Admin muss ich im Familien- und Bekanntenbereich weiterhin mit meinem EDV-Wissen herhalten und auch Hardware besorgen und einrichten, dazu gehören auch Drucker. Am HP-Konzept der Officejet-Serie hat mich überzeugt, dass die Tinte nicht mehr wie früher bei längerer NIcht-Benutzung eintrocknet, daher war der Officejet 8500 mein erster Drucker dieser Serie, den ich auch selbst viel genutzt habe. Inzwischen bin ich beim 8600er, den ich seit mehreren Jahren ohne Probleme nutze. Im Umkreis habe ich nun ganz aktuell den hier angebotenen 6830 eingerichtet, er ist ähnlich wie seine Vorgängermodelle 6600/6700, die ich auch schon mehrfach gekauft und installiert habe. 1. Inbetriebnahme/Installation: Das Auspacken und Vorbereiten geht relativ schnell, das Einrichten der Software ebenfalls. Achten Sie darauf (wenn gewünscht), dass Sie die benutzerdefinierte Auswahl anhaken, dann können Sie auswählen, welche Software neben dem benötigten Treiber installiert werden soll. Wenn man ihn über kabelgebundenes LAN anschließt, wird er in einem herkömmlichen DHCP-Netzwerk über einen AVM-Fritzbox-Router sofort gefunden, man muss nichts konfigurieren. WLAN-Einrichtung, wenn man diese möchte, klappt ebenfalls. Hinweis: es geht entweder LAN oder WLAN, nicht beides. 2. Patronen und Kosten Die Erstausstattungspatronen sind wie bei allen Herstellern nur teilweise gefüllt. Somit kommen wir nun gleich zum Thema Folgekosten. Hierzu empfiehlt es sich dringend, nach Komplett-Patronen-Sets zu schauen und dann online gut zu vergleichen. Die günstigsten Original-Patronen findet man im Set zwischen 60 und 65 EUR für diesen 6830, inzwischen gibt es auch Refill-Patronen anderer Anbieter für ca. 35-40 EUR. Solche habe ich für einen Verwandten bestellt, sind aber noch nicht verbaut. Die Erfahrungen damit werde ich nachreichen. Es gibt bei den Patronen eine normale und eine XL-Variante, was die Füllmenge angeht. Von den Kosten lohnt die XL-Variante in jedem Fall. 3. Geschwindigkeit und Lautstärke Der Drucker ist recht schnell bereit und macht nur selten einen Drucker-Selbsttest wie manche andere Geräte, die dann minutenlang nicht einsetzbar sind. Er ist sehr leise und flott bei der Druckausgabe, auch bei Farbdrucken. 4. Einzug und Flachbett / Display Das Einscannen/Kopieren/Faxen über den Einzug ist etwas gemächlich, über das Flachbettglas kommt es mir einen Tick schneller vor. Beim Einscannen an den PC benutze ich gerne die installierte Scansoftware, die sehr intuitiv ist und mehrere Dateiformate usw. anbietet. Man kann dies aber auch über das Display erledigen. Zum Faxen/Kopieren (wenn der PC aus ist) muss man natürlich über das Display gehen. Bei den Zahlen vertippt man sich relativ leicht, ich finde den Touch nicht 100% korrekt bzw. er ist sehr empfindlich, wenn man ein Anzeige nicht genau mittig erwischt. Beim Kopieren ist dies weniger ein Problem - er bietet schwarzes und farbiges Kopieren an. 5. Fazit Zu einem relativ geringen Preis bekommt man einen LAN/WLAN-/USB-Multifunktionsgerät, das alle wichtigen Aufgaben ordentlich bis gut erledigt. Die Patronenfolgekosten sind mittelmässig, ich bleibe aber dennoch bei 5 Sternen, weil es bei anderern Herstellern ähnlich ist. Super ist, dass die Tinte bei längerer Nichtbenutzung nicht mehr eintrocknet.

Esta impresora, por el precio que tiene, no puede ser mejor. Tiene todas las características de una impresora de oficina, aunque con muchos más añadidos: impresión por remoto (fuera y dentro de su red WiFi), servidor de impresión, posibilidad de usar Google Cloud Print, al escanear es capaz de pasar a texto editable, doble cara automática, etc. Como desventajas, es un buen armatoste (hay que prepararle un buen sitio) y la bandeja de salida debería ser más grande, ya que saca las hojas con mucha fuerza y a la 5 o 6 hoja se empiezan a caer. Compra recomendada.

Rien à redire. Pas de bug, pas d'encre qui sèche dans la tête d'impression. Facile à installer et fonctionne avec Windows 10. Elle ne s'allume pas automatiquement quand on imprime mais ce n'est pas gênant. Cela permet je pense à économiser plus d'énergie. J'avais une DELL avant et par rapport à l'HP ça rien à voir ! Avec la Dell à chaque fois que j'avais besoin d'imprimer il y avait un problème. Maintenant les soucis d'impression sont derrière. Jamais été déçus par les imprimantes HP.

Eigentlich hatte ich immer auf HP-Drucker geschworen. Seit ich meinen ersten Tintenstrahldrucker in den 90er Jahren gekauft hatte, besaß ich immer HP-Drucker und war sehr zufrieden. Bis ich vor einigen Jahren den HP Officejet Pro 6830 kaufte. Seit dem hat sich meine Einstellung grundlegend geändert. Ich hasse dieses Gerät. Es macht ständig Probleme. In der Garantiezeit ging bereits der Druckkopf kaputt. Das Gerät wurde anstandslos ausgetauscht. Die Druckqualität ist eher mäßig. Man hat öfters kleine Tinten-Kleckse auf den Drucken. (Originaltinte + gutes Papier) Die Scans sind ok. Die dazugehörende Software lässt aber Wünsche offen. Insbesondere fehlt eine Zoom-Funktion für die Vorauswahl des Scan-Bereiches. Am schlimmsten ist aber, dass das Gerät im WLAN andauernd offline angezeigt wird. Per Webseite, wenn man die IP-Adresse eingibt, kann man merkwürdiger Weise aber den Status auslesen. - Also definitiv ein Software-Problem. Per USB funktionierte das Gerät meistens. Aber auch hier habe ich manchmal Ausfälle. Nach mehreren Versuchen mit dem "HP Print and Scan Doctor" (Diagnose und Reparaturs-Software von HP) funktioniert der Drucker dann auf einmal wieder. Es ist absolut nicht nachvollziehbar, warum es die Fehlversuche gibt und wann der Reparaturversuch glückt. Ich hatte auch schon den Online-Support von HP in Anspruch genommen. Ich bekam eine spezielle Software für einen Eingriff in die Software auf meinem PC. Der HP-Kunden-Support ist sehr sehr kompetent und hilfreich. Das ändert aber nichts daran, dass die Standard-Software, dauernd fehlerhaft ist. Ich vermute, dass die Probleme immer nach Windows- oder HP-Updates auftreten. - Schwer nachvollziehbar. Der einzige Grund, warum ich den Drucker überhaupt noch verwende, sind die Platzverhältnisse in meinem Arbeitszimmer. Mein nächster Drucker ist mit Sicherheit nicht wieder von HP.
