Always wanted to have one in my garage for my DIY projects. The prices went down and now it made sense to get one. Had a quick play, easy to use, press the button and the staple is in within seconds, release the button and all is done. You can use it with staples, or there is an attachment for welding plastic.The only criticism are the plyers/cutters, which don't cut the staples flush and are leaving about 1mm sticking out.Otherwise great kit.

The media could not be loaded.  It’s quite a large gun but it works well and feel solid to use even though the plastic seems more budget quality.The staples are easy enough to push into the tips and they are quick to heat up to a red glow. It bonds the two parts well, there is some strength there, you will need a slightly different technique depending how thick the plastic is, when I tested it on a small tub on the video it went straight through the other side and on thicker plastic it burns through in a couple of seconds, this does produce a large amount of fumes so be wary.You get a load of different types of staples, different sizes to weld different things, the large ones I tried on my van spoiler but it wasn’t made out of the right material to melt through, it has to be plastic all the way through.The snips don’t really cut the prongs off close enough so I used an angle grinder to quickly take off the top.It has the foam inserts in the box so you can store it in there, there are also neat little containers that all the staples are stored in. The welding spatula type end is really good for smoothing down the jagged edges, be careful though as it’s easy to make it a real mess around the join that needs some sanding.I’d say this is a good plastic welder, it’s easy to use and it melts through any plastic easily. I’d say it’s decent quality for money and it feels like it will last a good while. It’s definitely worth a go with this to see if you can repair.

Good quality plastic welding/repair gun.100w heats up the wire tips quickly for installing across cracks etc. then trim the tails off with the included pliers and smooth over with the hot plate attachment.Easy enough to use and works well.

Short story: This kit is middle-range in price (at £32.99 at the time of review) and worth spending that little extra, as it comes with good extras, too.Longer story: It's a well-made plastic-bodied "gun", definitely better than one I already had in terms of the plastic quality, which is more power-tool standard.Functionally, it works the same; there is a good selection of wire 'staples', some 400, 100 per box, in different shapes, and it's a case of choosing the best fit for the break or crack you are fixing.You can buy more of these online easily when the time comes.Insert two ends of the wire into the gun's two 'barrels' and pull the trigger; the wire gets hot quickly. How much heat you need will depend on the melting point of the plastic; if it is low, you can soon burn all the way through and out the other side, so approach that with care. The aim is to get the wire in the middle of the plastic, then let the hot plastic cool and fix around the wire.You also need to wait a few Mississippis for the plastic to cool off to pull the gun free rather than pull the wire out of the still soft plastic.After this, there is the problem of the wire ends sticking out like pins.Here, the kit has a solution, a pair of snips, and a decent full-sized pair, which is notable (other kits have the compact type).You'll need to cut close to the plastic to avoid sharp protrusions, and it's not always possible.To that end, a plastic shaping tool clears the weld; it is basically a hot knife, which is a clever idea.So, what things have I mended?Plastic body trim for vehicles, plastic laundry baskets, the top of a plastic bucket that had cracked, a wheely bin that had a crack down the front - to name a few. If it's plastic and regular glue isn't going to work, stitching with staples - works.The result is frankly a little like Frankenstien's Monster; however, for most work-a-day things, that doesn't matter. In other cases, like a car bumper, one can go the extra distance and use filler sand and paint to hide the repair.In conclusion, I think this is a great plastic welding gun.

This Plastic Welding Kit is a great value for the money and it's perfect for anyone who needs to repair plastic materials. The kit was very easy to use and came with clear instructions and diagrams. The hot stapler gun worked great and the 400PCS staples were perfect for repairing minor cracks and tears on plastic. I was also impressed with the plastic welding machine. It heated up quickly and worked well to attach plastic pieces together. The included pliers were also very helpful for trimming and shaping plastic pieces.

Habe mir das Teil vor Monaten gekauft. Ich bin froh, mich für das etwas leistungsstärkere Schweißgerät entschieden zu haben. Klammern sind schnell heiß.Habe es jetzt schon bei verschiedenen Kunststoffen ausprobiert. Stoßstange, Verkleidungsteile usw immer das gleiche gute Ergebnis.Bei Materialstärken unter 1,5mm nur mit Vorsicht und viel Gefühl verwenden.

Plastic lasser gekocht voor een reparatieklus aan mijn camper. Met de bijgeleverde laskrammen is de klus zo gedaan. De krammen worden snel heet en lassen de scheur in het plastic eenvoudig dicht. Een aanrader. Ook voor de niet-ervaren plasticlasser.

Dieses Kunststoffschweißgerät kommt - im Gegensstz zu einigen anderen gleichartigen Geräten- mit komplettem Zubehör.Mit dabei ist ein stabiler Seitenschneider um die überstehenden Drahtenden zu kappen, ein Cuttermesser zum egalisieren der Schweißwulst, ein kompletter Satz von Schweißklammern und ein Glättspachtel.Die Leistung des Gerätes kann man aus dem Anzeigentext nicht erkennen. Diese Geräte gibt es zwischen 50 - 200 Watt. Hier bekommt man ein 100W Gerät.Da ich bereits ein 200W Gerät besitze, war es interessant zu testen wie sich die 100W Mehr- bzw. Minderleistung auswirken.Als erstes habe ich einen Leistungstest mit 0,8mm Klammern mit der großen Welle gemacht.Die Klammern stehen ca. 8mm aus den "Elektroden" hervor (Foto), und ich habe getestet wie lange es dauert die Klammer komplett in ein 8mm Plexiglas einzuschmelzen bis die Elektroden aufliegen.Ich habe die Klammer kalt aufgesetzt und mit dem 200W Gerät war sie in 65 Sek. komplett versenkt (Fotos).Mit dem 100W Gerät dauerte der gleiche Vorgang erstaunlicherweise nur 68 Sek, also fast gleichwertig. Ich habe dann festgestellt daß beide Geräte dabei nur ca. 35 Watt Leistung aufnehmen. Bei den 0,6mm Klammern mit der kleinen Welle waren es nur ca. 26 Watt, je geringer der Widerstand ist, desto weniger Leistung nimmt das Gerät auf.Der zweite Test erfolgte dann mit dem Glättspachtel welcher auf beide Geräte passt. Da zeigte sich dann der Leistungsunterschied deutlich.Dieses 100W Gerät nahm max. 72 Watt auf - der Spachtel war nicht aufgelegt. Er wurde nach 1 Minute max. 225 Grad heiß.Das 200W Gerät nahm dagegen ca. 105W auf, und nach 1 Minute hatte der Spachtel ca. 440 Grad. Dieser Unterschied macht sich dann stark bemerkbar, wenn man mit dem Spachtel die Schweißwulst glätten will, weil dann das Material die Wärme noch aus dem Spachtel zieht, und das Glätten wird dann eine mühsame Tätigkeit.Fazit: Zum reinen Schweißen ist es fast egal ob man ein 100 oder 200W Gerät benutzt, zum glätten langer Nähte sollte man aber zu mehr Leistung greifen. Da man aber bei diesem Set kein weiteres Geld für Werkzeug und Schweißklammern ausgeben muß, bekommt es von mit doch noch 4 Sterne.

Für mich bester Kauf!!!Meine Abdeckung im Kofferraum kommt mir schon seit Jahren entgegen, weil die Kunststoffzapfen, die in den Fröschen befestigt werden, umgebogen oder halb abgerissen waren. Mit der flachen Spitze heiß gemacht und wieder in Form gebracht, ist es jetzt besser wie neu. Gerissener/ gebrochener Kunststoff mit den Klammern verschmolzen, hält perfekt und ist sehr stabil. Supergut!!!
