If you have a vaulted ceiling you do not want this Portage Bay 50252 Hugger fan. It mounts flat to a surface so on your slanted ceiling it would spin at a crazy angle. (Well maybe you do want that.) Look for a fan with several lengths of downrod and a mount that will work at an angle. "If you run a web search for How to Calculate the Angle of a Vaulted Ceiling" you will find some good guides. BTW, for a flat ceiling this Portage Bay 50252 Hugger fan works very well- moves a good amount of air, runs smoothly, and is quiet.
