Great product to catch Carpenter bees
Love the color, easy assembly, size is perfect, great value for the money, durable. I have mine hanging outside on my she shed to catch the Carpenter bees and it has withstood many storms, a tornado, and lots of high winds. Wonderful product!!

Cute but not effective
They look good but they fell apart after one season. The only carpenter bee that was trapped was probably lost and fell into the trap.

25% failure out of the box
The top of the bee trap that you are to screw the 'eye' hook into and supports the weight of the bee trap is between two lightly tacked on shinglesl. They are barly tacked on with brads. One out of the four bee traps roof top wasn't attached when un boxed. Whomever packed it had to know this. I expect the others will fall from having the eye screw between the two lightly tacked on halves. I expect suspenstion eye hook fail at some point this spring/summer.Is stead of a small chain to suspend the trap, you get eight inches of what look to be arts and craft twine string. I expected it might last one year of use before breaking. They look nice online but are poorly made. To be fair, the other two bee trap brands I have bought in previous years were poorly made as well.

Not It is doing its job falling apart.
Quality NOT good. The barn is cute catching bore bees but I do wish the jar was glass instead of plastic. I don’t think the jar will hold out year after year. Update changing my rating. I purchased 4 barns and 4 churches. Alter about 1 month. All of the barns have fallen apart. Two churches fell apart also. Only 2 remain in use So saddened because they are so pretty until they fall apart.

Cute design for a pest problem
This type of carpenter bee trap does work. We have made them before and found that they work better as the wood ages and you need to keep your house painted well so the trap is more inviting than your house. (they like aging, unpainted, softwood)This trap is the cutest design that I have seen. It is well made, with a painted roof so it last but unpainted wall so it attracts bees. It comes with string to hang it but I don't think the bees will like something that moves in the wind so we will screw it directly into wood. The bees seem to like high places, especially our wood soffits and they seem to like the warmth of a southern exposure so we will attach this under the eves of our garage on the South side. It would look nice if it were closer to eye level but it won't attract bees there. (at least where we live) Since I will be attaching this to my house I am happy that it is a nice design. You might be able to attach this to a wood outbuilding and attract bees away from your house. Once the bee is inside they can't get out. The buzzing bee inside seems to attract more. They do work.
