I am very impressed with the quality of the tamper, the handle has an amazing finish and the tamper itself is quite heavy which makes it perfect. At this price it is a bargain

Poor quality handle.
Base is a nice solid lump of stainless steel, feels quality. Handle, however, is not solid wood. Feels like MDF or similar with a cheap grain effect lacquer that was scratched upon arrival. A shame, a bit more craftsmanship with the handle would make this a good piece.

Heavy enough, but lacking in detail
Gets the job done but I allowed it to soak for a little too long when cleaning it and now the varnish covering the cheap wooden handle is flaking off.
