ST6A Soldering Iron Stand (H8B0060)

Maybe not the cheapest, but the best fit for an Antex soldering iron. The design takes in account the soldering iron dimensions to give a stable support with comfortable handling of the iron (in/out).Prior to this I have been trying a cheap generic one which would keep the tip in contact with a thick spring. With the generic stand, apart from working as a heat sink ( cooling the tip when not in use) it would have addede to the tip tear.

Deluxe? I don't think so! My TCS iron really doesn't fit. It only fully goes in at one specific angle, which is fiddly to say the least. If you don't get it in properly there is a real chance it will just fall out some time later. It's made of good thick plastic which says quality, but it's way too light. I had to glue in a piece of iron in the base to get it heavier. There are no feet! It really needs some rubber feet. Seriously, Antex, shame on you. This is a shoddy piece of kit.

Perfect..sturdy ..holds soldering iron easily / securely/safely. Easy to use..no more solder drips/ scorched items! Very pleased- excellent value for money.

Great to replace the one I broke!!! Let's hope this one fares better. Good quality stand nicely weighted.

I recently bought the Antex xs25 soldering iron. I used the iron 3 or 4 times and noticed the black plastic collar had started to swell and disfigure from melting. I called Antex customer services and was informed the heavy cast iron stand I was using was the cause. I was disappointed because I really like that stand, however I asked for the most stable appropriate stand. They recommended the "Deluxe" ST6 A, by Antex. I ordered despite it being almost twice the price of the heavy cast iron stand. It will do the job but I am disappointed. Plastic and light weight with chincy foam stick on pads that I had to apply myself. Deluxe I feel was used ironically. I now am not an Antex fan.
