ShearsDirect Japanese Stainless Steel 65 Tooth Blender, 7.5"

Okay these just arrived, they seem sharp & sturdy, but what happened to the red jewel that is supposed to be on them??? It's not in the package & I really liked the red jewel. ???P.S. I would have contacted the seller first, but there is no link to do so.UPDATE: Mar. 27, 2018 - I contacted the seller directly (Shearsdirect.com) and told them the jeweled screw was missing, the next day they wrote back to tell me they will send one to me! Awesome! I like the shears & didn't want to return them, they are nice & sharp and very nice quality, so I have updated my rating to 5 stars.UPDATE #2 Seller sent wrong size screw & didn't send the part for the other side of scissors, so sent another email, oh sigh. Does everyone else have a jewel on both sides of their scissors, or just one side?~ He now told me one side has a jewel.UPDATE #3 I decided to do an even exchange to get what I paid for; they promptly sent a replacement & they are perfect! The jeweled screw is there & the scissors are also very sharp, so I'm very happy now. :D P.S. The owner of Shears Direct has been very helpful & patient, and I would definitely order from them directly next time, though Amazon has a lower price.

May.23.2018.Wow, these shears are the best!I just got these shears a couple days ago and I absolutely love them! I am a dog groomer for a long time and I ordered few "cheap"back up shears . These ones are my new favorite. They are really aggressive shears. You can use them as a " normal " shears you finish the groom. The finish work is nice, smooth and look so natural.I love the sound of the shears and cut like butter.Really good on dropped coat , feathers or poodle 🐩 hair too.I will come back a little while and update this . Worth to try it before you buy an expensive one for $200-300I think they do the same job or even better.Update:Nov.12.2018I still love the shears. They are my best shears . I have more expensive japanese shears but I sent 2 back already as these shears are much better. I can't believe I didn't need to send them to my sharpener yet and I use them in almost every dogs I groom . I work with them almost for 6 months. And I already ordered more just in case for the future.Worth to try it. Really cheap and well made.

these things are brutal !! big and brutal and i'm pretty sure the pair i got had a taste for human blood . i barely bumped these thinners today at work while reaching for a brush and split my whole fingertip open . never even got to use them on a dog since they arrived last night but i had to cancel my entire schedule of 12 dogs and cancel my schedule for tomorrow because now i have a fillet of a finger . needless to say , i'm sending these back because i don't want to even imagine how bad they could injure a dog if a dog barely bumps into them ! been grooming for 20 years straight and i'd rather chance being bit by a dog than being bit by my thinners . giving this product 3 stars since i never actually got to use them on a dog (and am kind of relieved for that) but others say they work well .. i'm convinced they want my firstborn .

I purchased these to groom my Newfoundland with so I tried a practice snip of my hair and it wouldn't cut. I understand that they are 65 teeth blenders and therefore they won't take much hair. But I had to cut 3 times to get any strands at all. I really wanted these because there's a lot of blending to do on a Newfoundland. So I requested a replacement pair because of all of the great reviews. Maybe I got a dud. I am hopeful that the replacement pair is as nice as everyone else's.Update: the replacement pair are perfect and cut very nicely. I changed my review to 5 stars.

I bought these scissors to use on my Westie for trim ups when she has not been groomed in a while. They are very sharp! Just be careful when using. I think I would like a pair that are not quite as long. I am not a groomer so it is going to take me awhile to learn how to use them. I would recommend if you need sharp scissors and for blending hair.

I have had these chunkers for a few months now and I still love them. The only issue I would say, is that they weren't super sharp when I first got them. I was still able to use them for a few months, but I had them sharpened a few weeks ago and they are better than ever. If they seem to be dual after a month, try having them sharpened, new shears in general aren't usually as sharp as they can be when you first buy them!

I have been using these shears for about 2 months now. I’m a 40+ hour a week groomer. They are a bit on the heavy side compared to what I used to, but still very sharp. Not too bad for the money!

Happy with the shears, smooth to work with my dogs, very sharp!
