This product is one of the best for saving cost of heating a home. Easy to install, just follow instructions. Temperature control and it even knows , after a few days, how you like your temperature.

Must have
This device with sensors exposes temperature differences within rooms and can prioritize any preferred sensor to power the ac. A lot of basic systems will have your unit starting in reference to its temperature and not the room you’re in.

Remote Sensors are a Scam
It's incredible that Google Nest can get away with selling a product with such misleading description. The remote sensor connect to the Nest, report the temperature of the sensor, and allow you select the remote sensor to use for temperature control. The problem, is the scheduling. Google has hardcoded times for the remote sensor (7AM-11AM, 11AM-4PM, 4PM-9PM, 9PM-7AM). So as long as your schedule matches Google's exact schedule, you are good to go.1. Want the sensor in your bedroom as night so you can sleep comfortable but wake up at 5AM, well can't set a schedule to use the bedroom thermostat2. Or like us, we had a 1 year old who we thought "great, we can set it to her room while she is napping". Well, if she went down for a late nap at 3, the Nest decided at 4PM to just switch it back to the main thermostat that was considerably cooler. So our daughters room was 90 degrees, she was baking because Google decided to just switch back to the main thermostat for no reason, no warning. There have also been a few times where the Nest just stops communicating with the sensor and Nest has a feature where it alerts you.. 24 hours after the fact. Which seems way too late. So solve the the communication problem, you need to reboot the Nest. It seems to have nothing to do with the Sensor. All in all, I would recommend people find another product that fits theirs needs over this. This is a half baked product.

Great product, arrived early
The thermostat was brand new and exactly add expected. I replaced my old Nest C so all the wiring was already there but the labels were a little different since this one has more features. I found a YouTube video to help and installation went smoothly. We only needed one of the sensors for now but it will be great for our home comfort.

doesn't charge without c-wire
I purchased this thermostat because it was one of the very few that stated it would work without a c-wire. We had an electrician install it because the wiring at our camp is old and we did not have a c-wire. The big problem is that it will not charge without a c-wire, which makes this useless for us. I called customer support, and was told that the charge would only last about two days or so, and then it would have to be removed from the wall and charged with a USB cable; again this is completely useless for us since we go to the camp about every two weeks. Additionally, the return window was only one month, which has passed because it took awhile for us to get an electrician there in the first place, so now I have spent ~ $150 on the thermostat plus another $100 for an electrician for nothing! So if you don't have a c-wire this item is not as advertised, and I do not recommend.
