It does the job in protecting the keyboard from spills, and more importantly from dust and grit getting into the spaces between the keys. It did change my typing habit - I find I need to type harder but after a while, I forget it's there at all. Although it is quite thin, I find I should remove it when I close the laptop as I don't want it to put any pressure on the screen or its hinge to the base.

This fits my Surface 4 keyboard perfectly, right down to the edge of where the keyboard dent ends. I wanted to eat while using my Surface (it's how I read the news!) but crumbs were getting into the keyboard crevices. This cover protects it and adds a bit of color. When it gets dirty I can easily take it off, shake it over a trashcan and pop it back on. It does not disturb my typing at all as it sits right over the actual keys. It does feel rubbery compared to the plastic keys so if that bothers you it may not be the right choice but I like the texture for typing as it's less slippery. There are even tiny circles so you can see the Caps lock and Fn lights.

This doesn't align with the Microsoft surface studio laptop. Also kind of cheaply made and falls right off.

Love that it comes with rainbow and clear keyboard cover. Meets my expectations and covers keyboard without deformity or leaving keys out on my Microsoft surface 4 15inch computer

This keyboard cover did not fit the surface laptop studio as the order page said it would. Amazon refunded the purchase, but buyer beware.
