Where's the next book??
Diana Vincent does it again in this sequel! Her writing style has, if anything, improved since the first book. There are still glorious scenes of horses and riding, and the epithets in the beginning of each chapter are beautifully chosen and placed. When I finished The Girl Who Loves Horses, I couldn't help but push the 'buy' button on my Kindle for this book, even though I rarely bother to read sequels. I was not disappointed. And I want more! Please, Ms. Vincent, write us another!A few critiques, in the case that there is another book on the way. I would like to see Sierra deal with training problems on horses. Although her riding skills are portrayed fairly accurately (with a grain of salt taken for the fact that a story about a beginner rider learning to post properly for an entire year would be yawn-worthy), she always seems to be riding perfectly trained horses that are perfectly willing to do what she asks as long as she is light on her aides. A bit more realistic of training difficulty or a struggle to overcome some riding difficulty would be interesting. In this book, she (with River's help) encourages a horse with a spotty past to jump a particular type of obstacle he finds terrifying, but the working through of that problem is glossed over. Also, this is minor, but somewhat annoying: occasionally, homonyms are not caught in the editing process. "Site" instead of "sight", "course" rather than "coarse", etc. Considering the overall high level of editing (particularly since this seems to be self-published), this is minor, particularly in comparison to most Kindle books.Overall, a fantastic and satisfying sequel to the tour de force of the first book. Please, write us more!

Great book
it's a great book that is full of emotion romance and horses. In this book you see how the two main characters s Sierra and rivers relationship gets closer. There is jealousy between girls and it's just a really enjoyable read.

Great for horse lovers and teens
This was a wonderful book. (so was the first one) I loved reading books about horses as a girl and teenager. I still do. This book is full of details about riding, horse care, and methods of training. The rest of the plot deals with teenage relationships that everyone experiences at some point. I love how the author describes teenage hormones in a responsible way. She does not deny their existence. But there is also not a "free for all" either. Perhaps one of my favorite parts of the whole book is when Sierra asks her mother for a good reason why she should not have sex. Her mother responds brilliantly that sex is not just about hormones or peer pressure but connects individuals in a deeply profound way. (of course the book says a little more and says it better too)Typically I read science fiction and fantasy. It's a little easier to deal with strong emotion in a world that isn't real. This book dealt with some strong emotions and situations. They were addressed realistically but hopefully. Like the first book, the author had the main characters take responsibility for their actions and stand strong in what they believed was right.Thank you for a book that I know I would have enjoyed when I was younger and yet was still a pleasure to read now. :)
