Affordable and high quality drumsticks by ProMark -LA Specials Drumsticks made by Pro Mark
These high quality drumsticks are made by ProMark a leading manufacturer in professional line of drumsticks. These are made of Hickory, a dense wood that can take the “ beating” ( pun intended!). A three pack of sticks averages out to under $7.50 a pair! I play an acoustic kit and play a wide variety of music on a regular basis. No complaints, give these sticks a try!

Good quality
Good drum sticks but they did end up breaking. It’s only because my son is still learning how to play and he likes to hit the rim with the stick a little too hard. It’s a good drum stick but the 5b’s were the better option for him and his style of playing.

Right price
I bought these because they are hickory. Like the Vic Firths. They are definitely not as good. But definitely worth the money. I haven't broken any. But I'm not playing a lot of rim shots. I guess I don't hit as hard as some. I use them every day. I'll buy them again

Great lightweight feel, but somewhat fragile on a mesh head
Nice and light, but on a edrum kit, they last about a week before breaking.

First of all, I'm a pro drummer and sound engineer. I work 6-7 shows a week. I've had all kinds of sticks, but hadn't bought some in awhile. I play with a very laidback grip, all the way to the back; studied Weckl's Evolution DVD as well Todd Sucherman's extensively regarding the use of rebound, plus many years of military rudimental technique. Studied in college, went to several clinics, the whole shebang... you get it. Quite simply put, those are the best sticks I have ever tried for how my hands have developed after 20 years and how I play now - which is different for everyone of course. "LA special" is a GREAT name : Those are made for a laid-back, LA backbeat type of technique. There is a LOT of rebound, more so than just about other stick I ever tried in my life, so if you use Moeller technique at all (picking up with the wrist up motion between every hit), those are NOT for you. However, if you grip way back on 'em sticks and hit hard and solidly whip your snare every 2's and 4's, they are for you. Those are 5B's, which should fit most drummers. In my experience, diameter is overrated. Anyone with human-sized fingers can play from 7A to a little above that. Balance point - which on those sticks, is lower than most - is most important for where you grip (just below it is ideal, but not more than twice your grip fingers width I'd reckon). This is perfect for me. They are light medium-ish in weight; I haven't weighed them. I guess it's on the specs. I hit drums with those things. I don't care that the finish isn't even. The logo is looking really good. Most importantly tho, they *sound* really good. Real hardwood, harder than most. Give me an almost nylon tip sound in my cymbal - I finally get THE ride sound I always coveted. Very very crispm, brighten up a dark cymbal, helps cutting through a rock band if you have jazz cymbals because you're a snob like me. On top of ALL that, they cost like one third of any other pair or something. No more worrying about running out of sticks. The only thing I don't like is the absence of Promark logo. Those are EXCELLENT sticks. They should be proud.

It felt comfortable while playing. All three pairs have different weight. Excellent for edrums with mesh heads..

Mijn volledig houten stokken braken nog wel eens af, met deze stokken is dat verleden tijd. De kunststof koppen zijn stevig en slijten niet, de stokken zelf zijn ook van hele stevige kwaliteit!

Light weight and best for electronic instruments like vdrums, multipad etc!

Same as my last set and glad I bought 3 pairs. Just in case another stick breaks.
