Two Mules for Sister Sara [Blu-ray] [1969] [Region Free]

I enjoyed this film. Directed by Eastwood's mentor Don Siegel, it's not perfect but you can see it as a prototype for the style Eastwood would perfect over the following fifty years. Mexico looks good, it's nicely shot, the wildlife gets a starring role and the suspenseful narrative turns some interesting corners. The film reminded me of a period of history I had forgotten. This was France's intervention in Mexico (backed up by the UK and others). The empire-hungry Europeans were taking advantage of the US's preoccupation with its civil war. Mexico eventually ejected them after a protracted campaign. Shirley McClaine's entrance seemed incongruous at first but she certainly grew on me. Clint put in his usual solid performance and other key members of the cast (such as the rebel Mexican leader and the French colonel of the fort) are equally convincing. The film conveys plenty of period detail and has a rousing finish. Highly recommended.

If you like either of these stars, this is a film to watch. Very unusual and cunningly crafted, with a big surprise at the end. Well worth watching, I do every now and then, it is one of those movies that you can watch over again, it is incredibly well acted and directed.

Great movie, in my opinion one of Clint eastwood’s Best, it has suspense and drama and everything you would expect from Clint, the master of the western, this movie is made all the better by Shirley Maclane who really does not get along with Clint and you see the relationship develop as the movie progresses.

Good film. Watched it a number of times on telly, but, as normal, plagued with adverts. Nice to be able to watch something without losing its continuity on breaks. Remembered most of the film sequences but enjoyed the whole film. Usual Clint Eastwood style. Ordered on Monday evening, and delivered, as promised, on the Wednesday. Great service.

This very watchable and I have several times. He doesn't play against a Nun often.

Its awful its Christmas Eve my wardrobe collapsed so ordered this one perfect for my needs. Came with only half the parts OMG clothes hanging everywhere, have to move them every time I cook, wish I had gone to Argos at least I could have taken it back for a replacement

Genial versión en blue Ray, caja en castellano y la pelicula viene con una buena calidad de imagen y lo más importante, el doblaje al castellano es el original con lo que no tendremos sorpresas de escuchar a Clint y compañía con voces nuevas. Contento con ella.

Histoire originale et drôle dans un western un peu lent avec de très bons acteurs. Le langage de ce film ne serait plus accepté, à cause de la «rectitude politique» de maintenant. Bon film amusant!

Good movie for those who like this type of move. Especially liked Sarah's acting. She did a great job and made the movie. Product was received on time and in good condition.

A good Clint Eastwood action/western with Shirley MacLaine, and with a real funny twist to the story. Definitely recommended for Eastwood and western fans and a must have for collectors.

It is great to own this old classic .i remember watching the movie when I was young . I can watch it when ever I want now in years to come .
