Light weight & stout enough
Good for casting 1/4 - 5/8 oz. lures and handling 5 - 15 lb. fish. Light weight for good feel and long days. Guides and rod seem well made.

Light and whippy, with a surprisingly strong backbone
I'm highly impressed by the strong backbone of this rod. Can bend a great deal, and handles stress well.Feel of the blank is very light and whippy, even at heavy action, but then again I'm personally using this for light inshore saltwater fishing, not the recommended application.Handle feels a little cheap, and I don't think my guides are all 100% straight, but still 5 stars for the price.

Worked for me.
Broke my old rod and jury-rigged an even older rod to fill in the gap. Ordered this rod as local shop only had “high end” available. Delivery was faster than projected. Have taken 3 or 4 salmon river fishing with this rod. Very happy with rod, fair price when it was on sale.

Good in expensive rod suitable for surf fishing
Got this rod in the mail yesterday mine is the heavy action 9 ft. I paired this rod with Abu garcia 6500 c. Tried casting lures from 3/4 oz all the way up to 3 oz this rod handles well. I can really get some distance with 2 oz and up. Very sensitive and has a good back bone. Landed two stripers and one bluefish. Couldn't be happier with the purchase.
