Relatively easy to install - just need an electric drill to make a pilot hole and a screwdriver to fit the adapter - otherwise all parts supplied. I struggled a little with fitting one of the right-hand widgets and it sits at an angle compared with its left-hand neighbour but still works very well. Time will tell how long they last but thanks to God, so far so great. I have attached a video to show the difference between closing these cabinets with the Blumotion fitted, and the last one when I ran out of widgets!

This is very useful to upgrade your IKEA cabinet with soft closing doors. Highly recommended.

The self-closing mechanism failed on a cupboard and it was impossible to find a replacement so after some research found this Austrian made item that was recommended as a stand-alone device. Fitting it was a bit fiddly as due to the position of the screw hole, the screw can only go in at a slight angle. I had to use the spacer to get the item away from the edge of the door. Ialso had to remove one edge from the grey plastic spacer to make it sit flush with the top of the cupboard (the otheredge sits over the front of the carcase as a locating edge. With my first attempt, I could not do up the screw tight enough without it being at a sharp angle. So purchased an 150cm extension for my screwdriver and was able to drive it tight. It was still at a slight angle as you can see but it was firm enough to be affective. The device has a single screw that allows the closing mechanism to be drawn in and our as a way of altering the soft-close speed/effect. When I first played around with the device on its own I felt it was not going to work but it does! I have two spares which will be useful for any future failures

This product is exactly as advertised, made well of excellent metals and works perfectly. We installed 46 of them throughout the house in under two hours and now enjoy the sounds of silence. Fabulous device!!!

Works perfectly with vestibule closet as doors tended to slam easily. These are lighter doors so the Adjustable tension screw is handy for a perfect closure. Not too fast or slow. Used the plastic adapter as door is inside the closure, fits perfectly. Good quality heavy metal.

These slow closers are fantastic! We thought we were going to have to replace all our kitchen cabinets until my husband found these. We read all the other reviews and went with this make and not the cheaper plastic ones. We are glad we did. They are perfect. Easy to install, no removing old hardware just adding these on the inside. Life is much quieter now. These are worth the money.
