Nice lens. Works well with the M2 to Fuji X adapter I purchased at same time as the lens. Nice sharpness and easy to use with focus peaking. I really like the lever for changing focus. Someone mentioned it is hard to change the f stop, but the outside of that ring is ribbed so easy for me to change with a fingernail. Only bad point is the tiny lens cap that is threaded on to the lens. Easy to get off but somewhat difficult to put back on. When finally you get the threads started it will on only thread on for about one turn. Lens is very good on colors and as mentioned it is nicely sharp.

This lens is really really really small and really really good. Unbeatable for street photography. The quirks are assets to me, as I’m not a fan of clinical lenses.

Update: The seller reached out to me because of my review. Top notch customer service. The only real downside I’ve noticed is that when used wide open at maximum aperture, the lens is a bit soft toward the edges. I’m using it adapted (M to L), so it’s possible the adapter or sample variation contributes to some asymmetry, but unless you’re pixel-peeping it’s difficult to notice in real world use. Stopped down to f/4, the center of the image is very sharp, which is where I tend to leave it most of the time. The aperture control is a bit unconventional, but given how thin this lens is, it’s understandable... there simply aren’t many places to put it. I primarily use this lens on a Leica CL as a compact, pocketable setup, and it allows me to carry one of my favorite cameras into situations where larger lenses just aren’t practical. This lens clearly makes intentional compromises to achieve its extremely thin profile, but the end result is a very usable tool. Since purchasing it, the lens has stayed on my camera most of the time. If Brightin Star can produce a lens this capable at this thickness, I’m very interested to see what they can do in a more traditional form factor.

I was excited about the size of the lens, but I found the aperture dial to be so close to the lens itself that I didn’t see how I would avoid always getting fingerprints all over the lens. And I thought the optical performance was so so. Definitely pretty and not a bad lens, but not for me. Sent it back.

2nd time buying this lens. I bought one when I had a Sony camera, but traded it off. I got a Nikon system and after a year I really missed having the lens. I bought this and a separate Z to M mount adapter for it to work on the camera body I have. I really like the look and feel of the lens, solid construction, smooth and functional parts. The retro styling looks great on the Nikon Zf and matches well. the picture quality is excellent with sharpness satisfactory for modern mirrorless cameras, and a bright f2.8 aperture in spite of its small size. Its basically a "carry around" body-cap style lens you actually want and LIKE the look of the pictures out of it.
